Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Zoe was very impressed with how well the construction people had done in rebuilding the school, and the grounds had been cleared just in time for the picnic to welcome the new students and teachers. Tables and chairs had been set up, and there was plenty of food and drinks, along with nametags, and two signs, one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and another listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. OCD IS UP. This is part one of the picnic, for specifically meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. Part two is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g*]

"That's me," he said, jerking his thumb at his chest. "What's your name?"

Dean gestured at his own nametag. "Dean Winchester. I'm supposed to be your big brother, get you acclimated to the school."

"You're name's Dean? I thought it was a title. First day and already in trouble, all that."

"Yeah, well it is a title for some people, but it's my name," Dean said, then grinned. "Hey if I ever get on the administration here, I could be Dean Dean Winchester."

"That'd be too confusing," he said with his own grin. "You'd never be able to tell if they were addressing you by title or callin' ya by name."

"Yeah. Well the chances of me doing anything bureaucratic are slim and none anyway," Dean said easily. "So where are you from, Jack?"

"California. San Fran. Yourself?" He looked around, a cocky grin on his face, admiring the student body.

"Lawrence, Kansas originally, but most of my life's been spent on the road." He paused then asked, "So, what year is it where you're from?"

"What year? It's 1967. You haven't been on the road that long, have ya? Where the road hypnotizes you? My dad tells me about it happening."

"It's 1998 where I'm from," Dean said with a smile, ignoring the question. "And it's 2007 here." He paused. "My car's a 67 though."

"Oh, yeah? What model? Chevy? Plymouth?" He didn't hear that 2007 part.
