Dealing With the Opposite Sex, Class #7, Friday, 2nd Period

Vala wasn't at all downcast as she watched her students arrive in the Danger Room Shop as she'd handwavily notified them to, for the last class of the summer. Really.

"Good morning, everyone. Before we start, I'd like to say how much I've enjoyed teaching you and hope you've found it to be as useful as I'd hoped you would. Also, I know this is a vast area, especially for those of you who may be more inexperienced, so if you ever have any questions, I have two ears and they're both mostly sympathetic. It also turns out I have an office, so you can find me there occasionally as well."

She cleared her throat. "At the end of class, there will be an opportunity to ask for answers to questions that are still bothering you. First, however, I'd like you to attempt a simulated date. No," she glanced at Jeff, "you can't have safety padding this time. But this isn't a high-pressure situation, either. You're just having a nice, quiet dinner in a lovely little bistro with someone whose ship you hijacked you saw on the street, thought looked interesting, and asked to join you. Your job is to make conversation and leave, without getting food dumped on you or a drink thrown in your face."

A fire extinguisher was also in a prominent and visible place next to every romantic candlelit table for two, just in case.

She worried at her lower lip, uncharacteristically solemn. "Now, as I ruin the mood completely, I'd ask you to please stay away from the woman who's squatting in Principal Washburn's office. If she calls you down there, don't go. Don't pull stupid pranks and don't vow eternal revenge. She's very definitely unbalanced and needs professional help. You have teachers--let us take care of the problem, just this once. None of you should be hurt."

"Thank you all for a wonderful class, and I hope you have fun."

He's also shirtless, because some things don't change.

Katara's eyes got HUGE and then she tried really, really hard not to look at Molly's boyfriend. Because...yeah.

Jack noticed Katara not looking and grinned at her, making a point to stretch a little while he lifted a hand in greeting.

She frowned at him a lot. "Does Molly know you're doing this?" she hissed.

And she'd thought Karal was so nice.

Wait. "And why are you in this class?"

Jack's grin got wider, because she was very smart. "I'm in this class because I'm the TA. Now ask why I'm in this body."

Except scratch the 'might have been' and replace it with 'totally was'.

Jack had no idea she knew Karal, but she was cute and she was watching, so he flashed her a huge grin. "And good morning to you."

"Welcome to Fandom, where all your boys will be shirtless within a season," Jaina said, looking at him like she knew something was off, but since body switches were new to her, that part just didn't enter into her head. "That's a new look."

Troy stared a bit. And then a little more. In fact, over the course of the class, he kept looking over towards 'Karal'.

He wasn't ogling. Honestly.

Troy flushed and turned away a bit, having noticed that his ogling had been noticed. Although he seemed to be encouraging it, so...

John was a bit surprised to see Karal half naked in class.

"Hey, buddy. You feeling alright?" He asked.

"I feel good," he replied, lounging back in his chair a bit and flashing him a grin. "Not that I'd say no if you wanted to make me feel better."

"Umm..." John was a little confused. On the one hand, hot. On the other, Molly's boyfriend. "You don't seem quite yourself right now, Karal. Have you seen Molly today?"

Isabel blinked because that was a new look for Karal. Or it was just Fandom weirdness striking again, in which case a not so new look for Jack in theory. Hopefully poor Karal wouldn't die of embarrassment when the day was over.

Considering Andrew had only just told her about being John Sheppard the day before, and Jack was no where to be see, Isabel was pretty sure who was wearing Karal's body. Which meant there was a good possibility Karal was wearing Jack's body. She was pretty sure that the situation would win the prize for Fandom irony.

Chuckling to herself, she tried to figure out who to date.
