Vala wasn't at all downcast as she watched her students arrive in the Danger ~~Room~~ Shop as she'd ~~handwavily~~ notified them to, for the last class of the summer. Really.

"Good morning, everyone. Before we start, I'd like to say how much I've enjoyed teaching you and hope you've found it to be as useful as I'd hoped you would. Also, I know this is a vast area, especially for those of you who may be more inexperienced, so if you ever have any questions, I have two ears and they're both mostly sympathetic. It also turns out I have an office, so you can find me there occasionally as well."

She cleared her throat. "At the end of class, there will be an opportunity to ask for answers to questions that are still bothering you. First, however, I'd like you to attempt a simulated date. No," she glanced at Jeff, "you can't have safety padding this time. But this isn't a high-pressure situation, either. You're just having a nice, quiet dinner in a lovely little bistro with someone ~~whose ship you hijacked~~ you saw on the street, thought looked interesting, and asked to join you. Your job is to make conversation and leave, without getting food dumped on you or a drink thrown in your face."

A fire extinguisher was also in a prominent and visible place next to every romantic candlelit table for two, just in case.

She worried at her lower lip, uncharacteristically solemn. "Now, as I ruin the mood completely, I'd ask you to please stay away from the woman who's squatting in Principal Washburn's office. If she calls you down there, don't go. Don't pull stupid pranks and don't vow eternal revenge. She's very definitely unbalanced and needs professional help. You have teachers--let us take care of the problem, just this once. None of you should be hurt."

"Thank you all for a wonderful class, and I hope you have fun."

Johnny grinned at Karal, eyeing the shirtless. Never did he think he'd see that.

Jack eyed him right back, amused at people's reactions. This kid really needed to get out, shirtless, more.

Okay, now Karal was eyeing him back, definitely not what he expected. "Hey, Karal. Going for a new look?"

Jack laughed. "You could say that," he said, figuring a new body counted. "What do you think, should I keep it?"

Johnny unabashedly looked him over, grinning. "Looks good on you -- you should definitely keep it."

"I am pretty, aren't I?" Jack asked, looking down at himself. "He really doesn't appreciate what he's got."

"Yes, you are --" he cocked his head. "Say what?"

"Fandom weirdness strikes again." Jack smirked. "I'm not Karal. Care to take a guess at who's in here?"

Oh shit. Johnny had just been ogling someone who wasn't Karal. This could or could not bode well, and he quickly ran through the girls here at Fandom that he's pissed off. Hell, maybe it's a guy.

"No idea, dude."

"Jack," he said, and smirked knowingly, letting his eyes travel down Johnny and back up.

Ah, he should have known. It did feel weird having Karal's eyes move over him though.

But Johnny was a hot guy and he knew it. He preened at the ogling. "Jack."

"Johnny." Jack grinned at the preening. "Pity I promised to be on my best behaviour while I'm in here."

"Pity I just got myself a girlfriend two days ago." He smirked, folding his arms across his chest.

Okay, not such a pity. Savannah was hot and sweet, but yeah, one doesn't forget Jack Harkness easily.

"And I've got one thingy who'd turn me into a rock, and another who'd probably just shoot me." He shrugged. "Still fun to think about, though."

"Thinking is nice," Johnny agreed, a certain mental image coming to mind.

"Mmmmm, yeah." Jack's smirked at the ceiling, enjoying a mental image of his own.

Okay. Time for Johnny to get back to whatever the heck he was doing. Or going to do. Damn.

"Catch ya later, Jack. Hope things go well for you in that body since you've got to behave." He winked and turned, walking away.

He groaned under his breath, not needing the reminder. "See you, Johhny. Have fun."
