Mad Science, final class, August 21st
Yet again, the Mad Science students were told to meet for class at the Danger Shop. This time, Prof Tomoe met them outside of the building and stood outside the door. His grin was eviller than usual this week.
"Good afternoon, class. It seems as though we've come to the end of our semester already. I hope that you've been paying attention in class, as this week's final exam is a practical test. Inside the building, you will find a victim. Your job is to put the plan you designed into action, and have your monster rip out their pure heart crystal to check whether or not it is a Talisman before you are defeated. And yes, your daimon will most likely be destroyed over the course of the exam. If you can go, let's say, five solid minutes before being defeated, we'll consider that a pass."
He laughed evilly before stepping away from the door to let the students in one at a time. "Good luck."
Please wait for everything to be set up before pinging in. Go for it.

Re: Wait Your Turn
"Honestly, all my business associate and I want to do is borrow it for a moment, look for something special or something of the sort, and if it doesn't fit the bill, we'll put it back and all go away happy."
The daimon busied itself trying to see if it could bounce higher than the bus-stop sign. Valentine made a note to bounce it against a wall very angrily later.
"Would you just get the darn thing out and get it over with!?"
The daimon blinked at him for a moment, and then, oh, yes, right, of course, bounced over and tackled the poor girl, pulling out her pure heart crystal. And then back to business, of course. Bouncing.
Re: Wait Your Turn
At the same time, some rose petals floated by on the wind and a cool sounding strings theme started up.
Re: Wait Your Turn
So he quite nonchalantly strolled over to have himself a peek at the crystal. Ooo, shiny.
Re: Wait Your Turn
"Another dud. It's not worth either of our time," she said curtly.
Re: Wait Your Turn
"Well, I suppose that takes care of that, then." Not like he would have known a talisman if it bit him on the nose. A charm, maybe. A talisman, not so much. "I'll be off on my way, I suppose."
Marks to get and all, of course.
He paused. Curse his love of shiny things.
"Might I have just one little peek of it, first?"
His daimon was now holding jumping contests with a nearby tree and was currently winning.
Re: Wait Your Turn
She leaned over to put the pure heart crystal back where it belonged inside the other girl before standing up to face Valentine and his daimon.
She crossed her arms and smirked at him. "You didn't think that I was just going to let you walk away, did you?"
Re: Wait Your Turn
Probably wishful thinking, Valentine realized. He'd been given malicious looks before, after all.
And he was suddenly very thankful that he had spent so much time running from shadows. He'd like to live through this class, really.
Re: Wait Your Turn
She uncrossed her arms and took a step forward. "So for the good of the mission, I need to take you out."
Re: Wait Your Turn
This would be where Valentine made a big show of giving his best 'why me' face before doing the bravest thing he knew- turning tail and running like hell in the other direction.
The daimon, of course, had won her bouncing contest with the tree, and was now challenging the oncoming traffic to similar contests of gravitational defiance.
Re: Wait Your Turn
A golden ball of pure energy ripped Valentine's daimon to shreds in seconds flat before chasing him out of the Danger Shop.
Re: Wait Your Turn
"I'm alive," he decided.
Re: Wait Your Turn
evilclipboard in his hands."Sacrificing a daimon to save your own hide? A poor waste of materials, but a good tactic to live another day. I'll pass you."
He grinned manically. "Care to go again?"
Re: Wait Your Turn
"Go again? Are you absolutely barking mad!?"
It was possible that he had somehow missed the point of a 'mad' science class entirely.
Re: Wait Your Turn
"Why, yes. I am."
