Mad Science, final class, August 21st

Yet again, the Mad Science students were told to meet for class at the Danger Shop. This time, Prof Tomoe met them outside of the building and stood outside the door. His grin was eviller than usual this week.

"Good afternoon, class. It seems as though we've come to the end of our semester already. I hope that you've been paying attention in class, as this week's final exam is a practical test. Inside the building, you will find a victim. Your job is to put the plan you designed into action, and have your monster rip out their pure heart crystal to check whether or not it is a Talisman before you are defeated. And yes, your daimon will most likely be destroyed over the course of the exam. If you can go, let's say, five solid minutes before being defeated, we'll consider that a pass."

He laughed evilly before stepping away from the door to let the students in one at a time. "Good luck."

And once again, Valentine stopped to catch his breath before looking hopefully at the teacher. Pass? Pass is good? Was that a pass?

Prof Tomoe was waiting outside for him with an evil clipboard in his hands.

"Sacrificing a daimon to save your own hide? A poor waste of materials, but a good tactic to live another day. I'll pass you."

He grinned manically. "Care to go again?"

Pass was good. Again was not so good, and Valentine was more than willing to inform the teacher of this fact now that he hadn't failed.

"Go again? Are you absolutely barking mad!?"

It was possible that he had somehow missed the point of a 'mad' science class entirely.

Leave it to Chad to almost entirely forget exactly what to do. He blamed two things: being a tiger last week, and Shinigami. He glanced over at his Daimon, frowning at it thoughtfully.

How did he get a zanpactou out of that, again? He didn't think he could actually wield one. He remembered making a plan, the thought, but couldn't remember the actual plan, and...

"Crap."

At the sound of his voice, the girl looked up and smiled at Chad. "Did you say something?" she asked.

She hadn't noticed the daimon yet.

The girl was too lost in thought to have noticed the flying skull yet. She hummed to herself a little as she waited for her bus to arrive.

And that was probably all she was going to get out of him at the moment, mouth shifted over slightly as if it was a very difficult question. Then Chad shifted his eyes over toward the daimon, as if the daimon could help him out a little here, throw a guy a freakin' bone or something.

The girl followed Chad's eyesight over and finally spotted his daimon. Her eyes widened and she started quivering fearfully, as though she expected that it was going to try and attack her.

Edward stands around a corner where she can't see him, dressed in his Darker Force costume from his superheroing classes. He sends his Daimon out, and it rushes the girl.

Kabuto was seriously thinking about just taking her out for having a Brooklyn accent, what? no particular reason. Though the heart-crystal stuff was possibly worth investigating further. He just wasn't seeing how this girl would be holding a Talisman of any sort. She was so...ordinary.

The girl barely had a chance to react. The daimon's sudden attack knocked her to the ground, where she stared at the monster in wide-eyed terror.

Another figure appeared on top of one of the surrounding buildings, but it was too dark to make out any details. The figure seemed to be waiting for something.

The girl seemed to hear some noise that Kabuto made, since she looked up from the bus stop. "Hello? Is someone there?" she asked in a badly dubbed Brooklyn accent as she looked around.

It seems she hadn't spotted Kabuto or his daimon yet.

Edward ran at the daimon, as they'd rehearsed. "Unhand that woman, or suffer the consequences!"

The daimon, however, seemed to ignore his warning as it removed her pure heart crystal.

The girl looked hopefully towards Edward before being caught off guard. She screamed as her pure heart crystal was removed before falling to the ground in a heap.

The figure leaped off the building to take a closer look at the crystal, revealing herself to be a green-haired girl in a short sailor uniform. She gave the crystal a look over before turning to look at the other two standing there.

"That wasn't very nice," she said, focusing all of her attention on the daimon.
