Pie for Beginners - Week 6 - Monday 2nd period

Instead of the ninja today, a mercenary greeted the students. Though he was a bit subdued.

"Morning kids! Professor Yondaime can't be in today as it seems models and booze are a bad, bad mix. And I have no idea what to teach you kids so..." He trailed off. "Movie day?"

It was edutainment!

He popped in a movie, stepping back and squinting at the screen. "I really hope you kids like folk music."

Mostly because he hated it. A lot.

"Oh, dear. Do they smell bad? Or, are they disreputable?" Evie asked. Meanwhile, she was writing: one stick butter, apples, possibly camel herders... Then crossing that out when she realized she'd gotten distracted.

Door peers over her shoulder. "...As a substitute for shepherds?"

"Well, they are rather more common in Cairo," Evie said, then quickly added, "Not that I'd make Camel-Herder's Pie anyway! That holds very little appeal for me!"

"The Shepherd one's pretty good," Door says. "But like I said, no Shepherds. Usually. Mind you, you have to be careful which corner of the market you buy it from."

"Eugh," Evie said, nodding hard. "Right. So noted. Very careful indeed." She took a breath. "And I think I'll stick to something with dates or figs, or possibly grapes. Less chance of it being, well, chancey."
