[Creatures of Nature - 5th Period, 8/13]

The students had all received a handwaved directive to attend class down at Caritas on Monday, and when they arrived they found the door to the bar ajar but the open sign not in use.

"Welcome to class, where today we will be meeting a special sort of creature," D said, smiling as everyone took a seat within the apparently empty bar (empty except for Tino, who had been modded borrowed for the occasion, that is).

"The Nac Mac Feegles, also known as Pictsies, are in some ways like those some may know as faeries or the Little Folk. In other ways, they are nothing like them." D smiled enigmatically. "Now, once they arrive, speak to them and find out what you can about their lives and their culture. Be respectful, of course, and as you leave I would like to hear two or three things you were able to learn.

"Oh, and I ask that you do not indulge in anything stronger than soda," D added. "No matter what the Feegles choose to drink, the school does rather frown on allowing students to have alcohol, especially during school hours."

As if by magic, Jenny was soon surrounded by Feegles. "Aye, wee bigjob," one said. "Wouldna tha' be a nice thing fer ye to do now?" They all looked at her expectantly.

With a glance in Squall's direction, Jenny sidled toward the bar and started pulling out bottles of liquor. Strictly for the Feegles, of course. She was being helpful! "So, what'll it be? And you call yourselves, er, what was it again?"

The spokesman turned to the others and totally stole from canon. "Tell the wee bigjob who we are, lads."

There was the scrape of many small swords being drawn and thrust into the air.

"Nac Mac Feegle! The Wee Free Men! Nae king! Nae quin! Nae laird! Nae master! We willna’ befooled again!"

The spokesman turned back to Jenny with a big smile. "We'll have... everythin'."

Jenny smiled down at the Feegles. "Nice try, but the bar has to run after you're gone. How about some nice tequila?"
