Thursday wasn't sure how, but the books were multiplying. It was a little crowded, with most floor space being filled with stacks of multiplied books, but you could probably still weave your way along the path to the service desk or the stacks.

Hermione got to the library bright and early, frowning at the books all over. On one hand, it was sort of heaven. On the other, wtf.

"Is anyone here?" she called.

"I don't exactly know what 'here' you're referring to, so I can't answer that properly," Thursday called back.

"You can hear me, that's my answer," she said loudly, looking around. "Where would the law books be found?"

"That depends on the country or planet you're looking for," she replied, getting closer.

Hermione tried following the sound of Thursday's voice, managing not to trip on anything. "Local," she answered. "America and Virginia in particular."

"Over there," Thursday appeared around the corner of a particularly high pile of books. "Underneath the superfluous copies of Beekeeping for Dummies."

"Thank you," she said, relieved to actually see someone in here instead of hearing a disembodied voice. "What happened in here?"

"My best guess would be that something from Special Collections is on the loose. I'd better get back to finding out what exactly that something is. If you see anything that isn't supposed to be here, let me know. Unless it's the Cat, in which case you haven't seen me."

Oh, it's just a ridiculously large bookworm. Thursday might answer if you need something, but she's busy trying to lure the bookworm back into Special Collections with an archery set and multiplied copies of the Dummies' Guide series.

Success! The bookworm was back where it belonged, happily munching on how to guides with nonsensical instructions.
