On the good side... the library is open

On the bad side... there's a swath of clean floor. Beyond that, zombie bits have dried to a crusty film. Ew.

Parker rolls her eyes. "Your guess is as good as ours where that might be. Start in the 900's. Shelve as you go. 900's and 912 are what you're searching for."

She pauses. "I assume you need a map to *this* dimension and planet...?"

"Who knows? It's the professor!" Jake shook off Krycek's attempt of soothing. Then he took a deep breath, and said, very calmly: "We will find treasure maps. They will be excellent. The professor will be happy. And I will have coffee. This is the future. Are we all clear on this?" He eyed the ceiling like he was expecting a voice of agreement to come from it. "Good. Now. Special Sections?"

It's good to have goals.

*snickers at Zero*

*You* are in a special section, one all of your own. I believe the maps you need are in Special Collections, however.

*is almost -- not quite, but almost -- inclined to give up some of his own coffee*

"Can we get your permission to enter Special Collections then, sir?" he asks, shooting a dark look at Jake. He'd have to get his own coffee maker if he was going anywhere with ever Jake again, just to make sure it was always on hand.

Parker points wordlessly where Zero previously indicated, then can't help but add, "Beware of the orangutan. He bites."

*snickers at Parker*

All right, come over here and I'll swipe you in. ~~If you see Julian, tell him his boyfriend Jack is looking for him.~~ *almost spatters him with zombie water from her mop*

Watch where you swing that thing, Zero, I'm not supposed to get this cast wet. Gahhh.

*shifts more books, glares at them, puts a pile in the library trolley, kicks it half way down the aisle and then clomps after it*

*eyes cast* Maybe we could wrap it in a garbage bag or somethin'. Draggin' it through the goo can't be good for it either.

And the humiliation and disgust keep on happening.

But you're probably right. Last thing I need is for it to get infected or anything.

*grabs bag, puts it on, ties it around ankle*

*curses, sorts more books*

There there, Parker. Think of this as a fleeting humiliation for the overall pleasure of tormenting anyone who wants to use the library.

*goes back to trying to figure out where the Space and Time went on the shelves*

Ignoring the dark looks being shot his way, Jake grabs Krycek again, and follows Zero. There will be maps. He doesn't care where it's for or what it's for, but there will be one, and then there will be coffee. "Do we have to sign out with whatever we find?" he remembers to ask.

You have to check it out, yes. Once you ~~escape~~ leave Special Collections, come find one of us to check it out. We'll be cleaning, I have no squallin' doubt.

"Do you even *have* a library card?" Parker asks. "Jesus. Yes. You need Professor Jerusalem's card, if it's for his class." She mutters under her breath, shooting Doctor Pierson a dark look. "And I though *some* people were incoherent goblins when uncaffienated."

Jake, after a bit of fumbling, produces both his own and Spider's cards. He shows them to Parker with a triumphant look. "Have them!"

And then Jake and Krycek disappears into the Special Section.

*twitch* Goblins? There are goblins now?!

*points to Dr. Pierson, her expression entirely deadpan*

*stares at the librarian with wide eyes*

Parker, stop corrupting the impressionable young.

Don't you mean enlightening and terrifying, sir?

I know I'm always scared when I know what's going on .
