On the good side... the library is open

On the bad side... there's a swath of clean floor. Beyond that, zombie bits have dried to a crusty film. Ew.

I think the books may be enchanted.

This is so squalling unfair. We didn't make the mess!...except for the parts we did.

Have I mentioned how deeply unfair magic is?

We only made the mess because we were protecting the school--and each other--from zombies. Besides, it wasn't even the three of us who made most of the mess! It was that AV Club kid with his zombie stew that gooped the heck out of the library.

*sighs, surveys library* Okay, I'll take the west, you take the east, the professor takes the north, and we meet in the middle? And then Parker can get her designer cast-laden ass in here and sort every last one of the books that got knocked over in the melee. Sound good?

Stupid squallin' AV kid. I swear, I have had serious thoughts about kicking his orange little ass.

Works for me. Parker'll be fine, that book cart's really sturdy for leanin' on.

I'll give Parker a call before we get started. No way is she getting out of helping out here.

The only thing standing in my way is that I think he's faculty, and Principal Connor might not take well to my beating up a teacher. Though in this case, detention just might be worth it.

Good. Tell her to get her leopard-print arse down here.

She looks around suddenly. "Where's Captain Coffee-Freak? This is his domain, doesn't he care that we're going to clean and pillage it?"

And a lovely zebra print it is.

'M not sure, but he gets the north section, so I'm not touchin' it.

Neither is 'he'.

Parker limps in, working the cast, and smothering a grin that's leavened with disgust.

"Oh. My. God." She pulls herself over to the counter, and surveys the destruction. "I can't believe this school is too cheap to call in Catastrophe Consultants."

She can't even think of where to *begin* when it comes to the books.

*kicks the book cart in her direction* Lean on that.

And why isn't that nimrod that flooded the library helping us? I mean, okay, saving of lives. But careless property destruction, damnit!

Gimme some cleanser and a wipedown for this counter, all the books are going to have to go here while I try to sort them out. Jesus.

I think the little grinder's holed up in the theater where we can't kill him.

I can't wait until I can get this cast off so I can put on my Baby Docs and go find.

No, wait, if I didn't have my cast, I'd be doing the goop thing.

Thank god the painkillers make the edges of my vision go fuzzy enough not to see all this clearly.

So what the hell was that whining in the hall last night, with Cally sounding like an air-raid siren?

Sir, there's only three of us, and Parker's got a broken ankle. It'll take Janet an' me forever to clean the whole library.

Given that Parker's ankle is broken and we're the rest of the library staff, who do YOU think is going to take the north so we can get this job done in something resembling a reasonable amount of time, hm?
