Dale is dressed in full scouting regalia and in a very chipper mood as he sits at the main campfire sipping his coffee.

Apparently tussling with Dinos agrees with him

Sick bastard.

"Good Afternoon campers! I hope you remembered to wear comfortable shoes because we're going on a hike today. And not just any hike..."

Dale gestured to a stack of backpacks and camping equipment.

"We're going fully loaded. Why? Well you never know what you might need on a hike. So pack up your back with items you believe you might need and then lets get a move on. And for next week's class I'll need you to bring a swimsuit and report to the school pool."

Then Dale pointed to a collection of canteens. "It's going to be a hot one today, so make sure to stay hydrated."

But before we begin our hike, I'm proud to announce that all of you have achieved the rank of Tenderfoot. From what I've heard on the radio you've all been pretty busy, and I'm happy to pass out the following merit badges to all of you.

Naminé had never been camping in her life. She looked at the array of items for a few minutes before sifting through carefully.

Finally she took a canteen filled with water, binoculars, matches, a flashlight, sunglasses, a compass, some trail mix, a canvas bucket hat and a lot of sunscreen. (It's not easy being pale.)

She also brought along her sketchbook and crayons, in case she saw anything interesting.

And as Namine passed by she might notice that there is a chipmunk sunning himself out in a sunny patch of the forest.

However it looked like it was on the verge of being sun-burned.

Naminé smiled at the chipmunk, wishing yet again that she could stop to capture the shape of him, when she noticed the tell-tale light pinkish glow spreading on his skin.

She crept closer, hoping not to scare him. "Hello there," she called softly, kneeling down. "Are you all right?"

The chipmunk in question raised it's head and noticed the pink stomach.

It looked at Namine with big eyes in the hope she had some way of preventing more sun damage and possibly skin/fur cancer.

Naminé laughed, fishing the sunscreen from her bag. "I'm not certain if this can go on fur, but we can try, can't we?"

She poured a bit on her fingers and held them out to begin rubbing in the SPF 50 goodness.

The chipmunk chittered a thank you to Namine and then went inside the tree where it brought out a small umbrella and a straw hat that was the perfect size for a chipmunk.

Naminé beamed. "I was going to donate my own hat to the effort, were it needed, but I'm glad to see it's not. My apologies for disrupting your rest, then, except as it was for a good cause I'm not sorry at all. I'll be on my way."

She curtsied, and then gave him a curious look. "You look familiar. Were you ever a pilot?"

(ooc: forgive the stupid meta joke)

The chipmunk blinked at the girl and chittered the equivalent of a "Buh?" at her.
