Dale is dressed in full scouting regalia and in a very chipper mood as he sits at the main campfire sipping his coffee.

Apparently tussling with Dinos agrees with him

"Good Afternoon campers! I hope you remembered to wear comfortable shoes because we're going on a hike today. And not just any hike..."

Dale gestured to a stack of backpacks and camping equipment.

"We're going fully loaded. Why? Well you never know what you might need on a hike. So pack up your back with items you believe you might need and then lets get a move on. And for next week's class I'll need you to bring a swimsuit and report to the school pool."

Then Dale pointed to a collection of canteens. "It's going to be a hot one today, so make sure to stay hydrated."

But before we begin our hike, I'm proud to announce that all of you have achieved the rank of Tenderfoot. From what I've heard on the radio you've all been pretty busy, and I'm happy to pass out the following merit badges to all of you.

Did your character do any ~~handwavy~~ work on merit badge? Did Dale miss anything from the radio?

Naminé looked at Dale curiously. "I restored someone's existence from an interdimensional void, for whatever that may count for. And when did I care for the mentally ill?"

"Well I believe I heard something about locking someone in a closet because they had gone nuts," Dale replied as he pulled out the "Interdimensional Travel" merit badge book. "And I believe restoring someone from a void was a requirement for one of the merit badges you now have."

"Oh, yes," Naminé said, nodding. "That would be my employer. He was stuck singing the same jingle for three weeks. I'm afraid to say that locking him in the closet was simply the most efficient way of preserving my mental health." If she ever heard that song again, violence might ensue.

"Then I thank you kindly. And I'll admit, these merit badges seem to cover more topics than I had anticipated they might."

"Well apparently there are a lot more merit badges now a days from when I was a kid," Dale said holding up his Scout Handbook.

If he looked closely he might have noticed the "Fandom Edition" emblazoned on the front of it, which would have provided the reason why there are so many merit badges.

"I suppose times are changing," she noted with a smile. "Are you saying you've never made your Interdimensional Travel badge?"

"I ~~handwavily~~ went camping," Z said. "Okay, I sent a replicate camping, but it adds up to the same thing."

"Replicate?" Dale asked and then reached for his scout handbook. "Can you tell me exactly what you mean by that?"

And oh hey, look at that, there were two Zs. "This."

"I did spend a whole night in a little cave thing," Troy asked. "Does that count for camping? I mean, I'd planned to actually go camping on Saturday night, but then ended up trapped in the cave by a dinosaur, so..."

"In a cave? I think that actually counts," Dale said consulting the manual. "I think it also qualifies you for the spelunking merit badge."

"Oh, cool!" Troy grinned. "And I will still go camping, as well. I think my roommate and I might go together."

"Oh, I worked on my knot tying while I was camping. I can show you if you want." Robin bounced.

"That's okay, Robin," Dale said with a grin. "A scout is trustworthy and honest. I'll put you down for that merit badge."

"Yes he is Sir!" Robin gave the Frog Scout salute, then sheepishly switched to the Boy Scout version.

~~Because I apparently missed this thread when pinging in before fleeing to work Tuesday~~ "Sir, I, uh, worked on my knot-tying while camping." He rummages through his pack until he finds the rope, and demonstrates a knot or two.
