Bridge isn't actually here, but perhaps another aide or the librarian might be.

Bridge is back from his workshop and sipping idly at an iced coffee as he settles in behind the collections desk.

And now he's flipping through the latest issue of Wired (http://www.wired.com).

Luke, remembering his conversation with Donnie earlier in the week, decided that research would be a good idea.

He bounced into the library and smiled. "Hi! I'm looking for information about samurais, please."

"Hey!" Bridge replies with a bounce of his own. "I can totally help you with that."

"Excellent," Luke said. "I want to ask my father about the differences between how they were organized and how the Jedi were." He shrugged. "Since Jaina arrived from my future as a Jedi, I clearly get around to organizing something. I'd like to know what I'm talking about rather than closing my eyes and whistling."

"Um, yeah, I'd say that's a good idea," Bridge agrees, leading Luke over to the relevant section.

"Of course, at home it's just me, so having meetings is kinda pointless," Luke continued, then let his eyes go wide at the number of books. "Wow. Is there Samurai for Dummies or something?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if there was," Bridge says, eyes scanning the shelves to see if there was just such a title. "And, hey, if there's Jedi in the future, that means meetings are probably in your future too. So it's best to be prepared and all, right?"

Luke nodded. "I already know to bring the onion dip," he said with a small smile, "but having actual information would be helpful too."

"Oh!" Bridge says, as he takes several books off the shelves and hands them to Luke. "You could totally ask Tori for help too."

"That's where I got the idea," Luke admitted, "but Donatello I'd probably be more interested in samurai than ninjas."

"Her friend Cam from back home is a samurai," Bridge tells him. "So he might have some good insights for you."

Luke wrinkled his forehead. "I got the impression they were kind of a historical thing," he said, sounding confused.

"Probably, in most realities?" Bridge says. "I've learned since coming here that the one I'm from is a little unusual in some respects. Like the samurai, and the ninja academies."

"Academies?" Luke repeated incredulously. "Like ninja school? Tori's only mentioned the one teacher. I thought it was like how I was taught."

He was dangerously close to flailing.

"Well the Wind Academy did kind of get blown up for a while..." Bridge says. "And all the rest of the students were kidnapped. But they, uh, got them back."

Luke stared.

"So they weren't very good ninjas," he offered slowly.

"They were taken by surprise," Bridge explains. "By someone who'd had training at the Wind Academy but was banished for breaking the rules about studying the dark arts. Tori and the other Rangers defeated him, though."

The skin around Luke's lips had gone pale. "Really," he said tightly.

"Yeah," Bridge says, peering worriedly at Luke. "Um. Are you okay, dude?"

"It's a similar tale to how the Jedi were exterminated," Luke said, voice clipped and precise. "So, books. Which ones should I try?"

"Sorry dude," Bridge says quietly. "I didn't know." He hands Luke a stack of four books. "Start with this one," he says, tapping the top book. "It's not 'For Dummies' but it's a good one to begin with. It'll give you the background for the others, that go a bit more in depth."

"Thanks," Luke said with a nod, then found an empty corner and began reading.

Lunch! Library's closed unless you work here, though.

Now Bridge is doing actual library work, like reshelving returns and tidying up.

And Bridge has another workshop, so the library's closed early today unless another aide stops by.

It's Thursday, of course I'm around.

Unless my Internet dies so I decide to go out, and then end up losing my phone. Like last week. Sigh.
