Arts & Crafts 7, Tuesday 5, Main Campfire Area

Steve stood at the edge of a large, tarp-covered area as he waited for the students to assemble. He was dressed in sweats and a t-shirt with 'ARMY' emblazoned across the chest, and grinning broadly. In the middle of the tarps was a large piece of canvas, firmly secured to the ground. Around the perimeter was a lot of paint of many colors in various delivery devices. There were paint-filled Super Soakers and water pistols, paint balloons, and pans of paint.

"If everyone would please take off their shoes and leave them over there out of the splash zone...thank you. Now. Today is our last workshop together, and let me just say you've been a wonderful bunch of students. For our final project we will be working on a piece of collaborative art. Which is to say...

"PAINT FIGHT!"

Naminé laughed and sent a generous spray of paint towards Charlie. "Being art is more fun than I'd imagined!"

Charlie was snickering. "It looks good on you!" She ducked one blast, got hit on the arm and the head by yellow paint by another. She picked up a water pistol and sprayed a burst of purple paint at Naminé, giggling. "And Jackson Pollock would love our efforts!" she said, pointing downward at the canvas.

"I thank you!" said Naminé, grinning. "Perhaps this is a new art movement. Art by adventure."

Chuckling, Charlie said, "I like! Automatic style points for the fun factor!" She picked up a red balloon, and aimed it at Naminé's legs, giggling as she dodged an attack from another student. "We could gang up on people? Or just cover each other's backs?"

"We could," Naminé laughed. "But I believe art by adventure is best experienced as a free-for-all environment. More natural, the masters would say."

And she scooped up a green balloon and tossed it towards Charlie's hair.

"Aahhh!" Charlie laughed even as she yelled, twisting away but ending up with more gren paint down her neck. "Ohh, that's slimy!" She continued squirting her paintgun at Naminé. "I wish I had some of the tags from this weekend with me, they'd explode if you just walked by them!" Splash!
