Construction Site: Friday 6/22, all day

Today there are actual hammers! And nails! And power-tools! And something to actually do with all that wood ~~so not dirty~~. Specifically, door-frames for some of the already-repaired walls, while the crew from NPC Construction is working on the more devastated sections of the building.

New equipment, new safety lecture. This one's short, though. "If monsters attack, feel free to use the nail-gun on 'em. Otherwise, keep it pointed at the wood."

It wasn't just about making sawdust. Whaddya know. You can build stuff with wood!

Oooooooooooooooooh. Pneumatic nail-guns. Conner always liked watching them use these things on home improvement shows, so he was more than happy to get his shot (no pun intended . . . okay, okay, pun intended) at using one himself.

He always did think they were a little bit sexier when wielded by oh, say, Amy Wynn Pastor, but hey. He did his best to look sexy while shooting nails into doorframe pieces.

Oooh, nail guns were cool. Bel kept looking around, hoping something would attack.

You can build picnic tables with wood. And eat at them. With your guests.

The sun's ~~meant to be~~ out by now, but still not so much with the earlier heatwave. Always a good idea to ~~take off your shirt~~ keep hydrated, though.

But now Conner was wondering about what happened if monsters really did attack. What if they grew skyscraper-size? Would the nail-gun grow accordingly?
