When the students entered the Danger Shop, they found themselves in what looked like the a great stone hall. Quite possibly because it was, in fact, a great stone hall. Several fireplaces lined the room, each big enough to roast a whole cow. At one end was a dais with a heavy wooden table upon it. Three men and three women sat at the table. The man in the middle wore a crown on his black hair and regarded the students with interest.

Aly lounged against the door in the other end of the hall and checked off the students as they came in.

Molly Hayes
Sabriel Abhorsen
Zuko

Once they were checked in, she sent them to stand before the King and hear his judgment.

As the ~~prisoners~~ students progress across the hall, it fills with whispering courtiers, all waiting to hear the judgment and peer at the accused.

King Jonathan looked down at the students when they appeared in front of him. "What is your name and why do you stand before me today."

"And how do you do these mad ninjaz?" the King asked, looking like he was trying not to be amused.

"Well first you get yourself a weetiny knife such as this," Deadpool said, holding up said knife. "And then you throw it at people's kidneys. But the trick is to get the knife back, which Aly totally hasn't done. So it's my knife now."

Pause.

"Plus? She's pregnant."

Oh, now he was definitely amused.

"You probably should watch your back then. Tormenting pregnant women is dangerous."

Deadpool beamed at him. "But so much fun!"

Jon paused. "Would you like to be our Court jester?"

That made Deadpool pause to think it over. "How much would I get paid?"

Because money is money.

"A bag of gold a year plus expenses and lodging," the King said.

"A bag a month and you have yourself a deal."

"Are you that good a fool?"

"Of course I am! Thousands of readers don't lie." Pause. "Actually, that might also be due to Nate's being there. Damn glowy eyed Aslan wannabe."

Jonathan stared. "Perhaps you will fool a little less obtusely when you are my jester."

"Doubtful. I'm pretty obscure sometimes. Especially when I talk about all those fun times from back home like when I got my ass kicked by Squirrel Girl, which didn't actually happen at all so stop thinking it Mr. I've Got A Crown OOoo Look At Me!"

"Squirrel Girl?" King Jonathan asked, touching his crown. "Was she an actual squirrel?"

"No, but she did dress like one." Pause. "And have a squirrelly sidekick."

"Oh!" King Jonathan laughed. "You were the sidekick! Excellent joke."

Deadpool's eye twitch. "I am NOT a sidekick."

Jon coughed, obviously not really believing him. "Of course, of course."

"Don't make me shoot you in the head. I will."

"Do you have a gun on you?" he asked.

Hands behind his back, ready to grab the hidden guns he had there, Deadpool nodded cheerfully. "A-yup! Like I would leave the house unarmed. Although I'm pretty sure this is one of those neato hologram dealies soo..."

"So that's where you hide them," Aly commented from behind him. "I thought so."

"Heeeey!" Deadpool said, Turning quickly to face her. "No fair! Just because you're expecting doesn't mean you can be tricksy like that."

"You're going to look pretty silly in 5 months when I'm not showing," Aly pointed out.

"You know that just makes me want to do something to your clothes so it looks like you're putting a little weight around the middle, right?"

"Touch my clothes and die," she said instantly.
