Aly had ~~oh so handwavily~~ asked her students to meet her at the main campfire. When then students arrived, they'd see an assortment of devices that looked a lot like bombs running the gamut from the type of bomb you'd see in the movies to less sophisticated devices.

She waited for everyone to arrive then started speaking. "The last few classes, we've talked about how to blow things up. Which is, admittedly, a lot of fun and also what the class is about. Today, however, we're going to talk about what happens when you don't want the bomb to go off. Disabling explosives is a hugely dangerous task, and in general, it's something you want to call in an expert to deal with." She grinned. "But I think we all know that when you need an expert, he or she is usually not around. So today we - and by we, I mean you - are going to work on disarming explosive devices with not quite so many consequences if it's not done correctly."

Gesturing to the assortment of bombs, she started discussing bomb disposal techniques including the use of a pigstick ~~because that term is awesome~~ and the ever-popular cutting of the correctly coloured wires.

"Now the trick here is that these devices aren't bombs. But if they are disengaged incorrectly, they will explode." She grinned. "I hope you wore clothes that can get paint on them. If not -" she pointed to a box "-there are some lovely and very fashionable smocks to put on."

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise, pair up and have fun."

"Well if he wants to settle down here..." Zuko started. No, he didn't catch the hint.

Aly shook her head at his lack of understanding. "So, Mel, hmm? Enjoying the dating, I hope?"

"There's no dating!" Zuko protested right away.

She wouldn't voice the thought that passed through her mind, but Zuko's reaction reminded her far too much of Wade's about Arashi.

"No dating, just kissing?" she asked.

"Exactly," Zuko said, relieved that she was catching on.

"She might like dating," Aly pointed out. "Girls are strange that way."

Girls were strange. Still.

"She likes patrolling."

"I'm sure she does, but that might be considered less a date than -" makeout session "-something she already does," Aly said.

"She doesn't want to date," Zuko said exasperated. And no, he didn't pause because he was wondering if maybe he was wrong. That'd be silly.

"Asked her, did you?"

"I don't need to!" Zuko argued. "It's just kissing!"

"Okay then," Aly said with a smile. She paused, finding words to spell out her previous hint more clearly. "I think Deadpool's reaction to his little celebration is going to be fun to see. Him not expecting it and all. All his students should come see it."

"Oh," Zuko finally caught her drift. "Tomorrow?"

"At Caritas," she agreed. With a grin filled with mischief, she added. "They like pink things."
