Construction Site [Tuesday - All Day]

There's actually some visible progress on the reconstruction of the school this morning. Nothing major but it doesn't just look like a pile of rubble with dirt surrounding it. There are hard hats, goggles, and tool belts ready when the students approach the work site today.

Fraser's shading his eyes against the sun, still smiling.

"Welcome back," he said, nodding. "Nothing much new to report. We're still working, still progressing. It's going to be a hot one today so remember to keep hydrated and take breaks when you need to."

He motioned behind him and said, "All right then. Let's go to it."

"I'd say so," she said with a nod. "Why else would Deadpool be constantly kissing you?"

"...let's not mention those," Fraser said and made another face.

"You don't have to kiss him back, you know," she teased.

"I don't!" He continued making faces. "He just surprises me when he does kiss me."

"When I'm surprised, I always kiss back," she deadpanned.

"You're trying to make me blush, aren't you?" he asked and mock glared.

"Quite possibly," she grinned at him. "I'm sad to say it doesn't seem to be working."

"Ah, I have practice resisting your particular charms," he said, grinning. "Soon, I'll be a professional."

"That makes me sad to hear, Benton," Aly said teasingly. "Truly breaks my heart."

"You can console yourself with my hat, Professor," he teased back. "Maybe it'll come alive one day and blush for you."

"I can't imagine the hat would have half so much charm as the original," she told him.

Stupid susceptibility to compliments.

She got her blush.

She grinned, not looking ashamed at all. "So tangentially, speaking of red outfitted mercenaries in a vague sort of way..."

"I am not kissing him again," Fraser said quickly.

Aly threw back her head to laugh. "So not what I was going to say. But you probably wouldn't mind embarrassing him, right?"

"I would not mind at all," he said. "I think, in fact, I would be most open to that."

She smirked and lowered her voice. "I've realised," she said sweetly. "That I've made Wade and Arashi wait far too long without the entire town celebrating their nuptial bliss."

"And you're hoping to rectify that, I gather?"

"I was indeed," she agreed. "And I was hoping you'd help me. Tomorrow perhaps? At Caritas?"

"Why, Professor, I'm quite honored to be asked and would love to help you," he said. And grinned.

Aly grinned back. "I was hoping to hear that response. I'm sure the newlyweds will be overjoyed by your presence at well. Good friends are so nice to have around at this happy time."

She paused. "And you really can call me Aly, you know."

"I..." He paused and then nodded. "All right, Aly."

"Much better," she said with a smile at him. "I shall see you tomorrow then?"

"You shall, indeed," he answered, nodding. "Thank you kindly for the invitation."
