Construction Site [Tuesday - All Day]

There's actually some visible progress on the reconstruction of the school this morning. Nothing major but it doesn't just look like a pile of rubble with dirt surrounding it. There are hard hats, goggles, and tool belts ready when the students approach the work site today.

Fraser's shading his eyes against the sun, still smiling.

"Welcome back," he said, nodding. "Nothing much new to report. We're still working, still progressing. It's going to be a hot one today so remember to keep hydrated and take breaks when you need to."

He motioned behind him and said, "All right then. Let's go to it."

With the sun rising high into the sky, it's time to work.

Conner, pink hard hat, goggles, and tool belt in place, was doing a little bit of bricklaying.

He wasn't really playing with the mortar, honest.

Bel was in a pretty good mood when he showed up for work that morning.

Mmmmm, foods.

And now it's hot and there's probably sweat.

And therefore shirtlessness.

Shirtlessness indeed, even though Conner was still staying the hell away from Bel.

And worrying, absurdly, about a goggles-tan.

For to watch the workers get their work on.

He's here, if needed.

Spattered just a bit by the different varieties of paint used in her workshop today, Aly came to find Fraser in the early afternoon.

"Professor," Fraser said, smiling. "You're looking very colorful today."

Aly chuckled, looking down at herself. "My class covered disarming explosives today. Let's just say it was a good thing they were practicing on paint bombs."

"I agree," he said, shading his eyes against the sun so he didn't have to squint. "You're smiling though. Seems you enjoyed yourself."

"I did indeed," she replied. "Nothing like watching your students get covered in paint." She looked out at the pile of rubble. "It seems to be progressing?"

"As quickly as possibly." He nodded towards the rubble. "The heat can make it uncomfortable at times," said the person who wears layers upon layers of clothing during the summer.

Aly eyed him. "Well, I'm not sure that uniform was made to be worn in this heat."

"I always wear this," he said. "Well, not always. But when I'm on duty."

"I was thinking not wearing it might help with the heat issue," she pointed out.

"Then how would people know who I was?" he asked because, you know, idiot.

"People know who I am and I wear different clothes everyday," Aly said, starting to laugh.

He paused and frowned at himself. "I meant more that they know I'm security. I wear different clothes!"

"I think you're probably well-known enough that you could wear the non-wool version and still be known as security," Aly laughed.

"Yes, well, I figured without my hat, I should wear something distinctive," he said. "And I don't know about being well known. Apparently, students like calling me Hot Mountie, which isn't my name."

"I can't imagine why they'd call you that," Aly said, obviously teasing.
