Student Newspaper - Announcement

With the disappearance of our editor and a few of our staff and with the upcoming student elections and the dirt which can be dug up, campaign ad space that can be sold, corruption that can be uncovered, priceless opportunity which this creates for aspiring journalists, I feel that things need to be brought back into some sort of order.

... starting with a new student editor so I can go back to my dissolute lifestyle.

Here's the latest list of contributors that I know of, and this week's journalism homework ought to provide plenty of filler for an election publication.

Veronica Mars - [livejournal.com profile] veronicamars1 (photographer/writer)
Chloe Sullivan - [livejournal.com profile] chloe_sullivan (writer)
Phoebe Halliwell - [livejournal.com profile] future_visions (editorials/writer)
Rory Gilmore - [livejournal.com profile] rory__gilmore (fun column + writer)
Connor MacManus - [livejournal.com profile] teen_twin (entertainment writer)
Jake Gavin - [livejournal.com profile] courier_gavin (research?)
Laura Holt - [livejournal.com profile] lauraholt
Jo March - [livejournal.com profile] writer_jo (thriller serial)
Georgia Lass - [livejournal.com profile] deadlikegeorge - (columnist)

Remember, all journalism students get extra credit for belonging or contributing to this student group.

Espresso is drinkable. I might tag along, if that's alright. And thanks, Rory. Good to see you came out alright as well.

You never said there'd be a psycho out to kill us if we took it! This is so not my fault!

You're definitely invited to stop by anytime you get a caffeine craving.

You silly, silly boys. I'm not kidding. Hide, or start your sucking-up campaign ASAP.

Will probably be dragged along by Jake, if nothing else. He's insatiable.

Is this a "death by big guns and righteous anger" thing or a "psycho killer slicing your throat open in the shower" thing?

Oh, goody. This will give me a chance to hone my mad espresso-making skillz. I'm getting pretty good at it.

More of a "you took my booze, hence I beat you to a pulp. See Rory for an ice pack and some gauze afterwards." thing.

Jake won't notice as long as it's vaguely coffee flavored. Not that you don't probably make good espresso, just warning that he may not be the best judge.

Is that all? I've lived through worse, trust me.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2005-09-26 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no, I'm the same way. But when I first got the machine - it was a gift - I had no idea how to use it, and it was really gross.

It could be worse - I've never actually seen him beat someone up. Just heard about it, and it was not a fun story. And I think he might still have my stepdad's gun, now that I'm thinking about it.

Like caffeinated sludge?

Gun? Jake gets to stand in front, then. I'm not willing to push my luck about a second rejuvenation.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2005-09-26 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, pretty much. I don't cook, at all, and that means I don't make tasty caffeinated beverages. But I'm getting better...ish.

I would get him presents. Logan, I mean, not Jake. Get him more booze, and offer him something pretty - though, not anyone/thing from the Apple, because then you will have to figure out how to keep me from hunting you down.

Maybe someday you can experiment with making macchiatos.

Something pretty? Like flowers?

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2005-09-26 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, the trick to a good macchiatos is to serve 'em upside-down.

Flowers could be good. Or something more manly. Like a car.
