Sam had coffee, a muffin, and multiple stacks of books to go through.

Why yes, he actually did like Mondays. Crazy boy.

Dean grinned again. "If you say so."

Sam scowled again. "I do. And hey, speaking of things you haven't told me, did you plan on mentioning to me that you told Charlie about my visions?"

"Uh..." Dean said intelligently.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Sam said, sighing. "Dude, she didn't need to know about that."

"She kinda did," Dean said, finding his voice. "You didn't see how freaked out she was about showing me what she could do. She needed to know she wasn't the only one. And you're the best example of someone who has a special ability and who still is a pretty together guy."

"You think I'm together about this whole thing? I didn't realize I was faking it that well."

"You're a pretty together guy in spite of the whole vision thing," Dean said.

"That's reassuring to hear," Sam said, smiling softly. "But I still don't know if I want everyone to know about the visions. I mean, Charlie's okay. I finally met her and talked to her, and she seems really nice. But who knows if the next person you tell will be as cool with it, you know?"

"It's not like I go around telling people, 'Hi, I'm Dean and my brother Sammy has visions,' y'know."

"I know that," Sam replied. "Can you just be as careful about telling people as you have been? I know you're less freaked out by my ability than I am, but..." He trailed off, shrugging.

"You know I'd never do anything to hurt you, Sammy," Dean told him, heartfelt.

Sam gave Dean a genuine smile. "I know that. That's never a doubt I have."

"Well good." He paused. "So what did you think of Charlie?"

"She's nice. She seems really sweet. And kind of in awe of everything we do, which is something I think I've gotten used to not dealing with around here."

"She is really sweet," Dean said. "And for someone who never believed in ghosts, she took the knowledge that they're real in stride." He chuckled a little. "And she seemed astounded that Dawn and I are still friends when she found out we used to date and that she's dating you now."

"I guess if she can move stuff with her mind, believing in things like ghosts isn't too much of a jump," Sam said. "And you have to admit, most guys aren't friends with their ex-girlfriends, especially if they end up dating someone else in their family."

"I can see that if their ex proved to be a jerk, but if she's still someone you think is a good person, why wouldn't you want them to date someone in the family? You'd want both of them to be happy, wouldn't you?"

Sam shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so. But I still think our situation is pretty unique. I mean, things could have ended badly between you and Dawn, or if you were anyone else, you could be resentful because you lost her, or something like that."

"Not if it made you happy," Dean said, not seeming to even imagine the concept.

Sam couldn't help but smile at Dean. "And again, that's probably not something that the average person would say."

"Then the average person is stupid," Dean declared.
