Arts & Crafts 2, Tuesday Afternoon, Main Campfire

"Good afternoon," Steve said. "Today we're going to make dream catchers, as I have been told they are traditional at summer camp. The instruction sheets and supplies should be on your tables. If you need any help, just let me or my TA--" Steve nodded at Teddy--"know. Also, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves so no one's working next to a total stranger. I'll start. Like I said last week, my name is Steve Rogers. I'm eighty-nine years old--yes, really--and I'm from New York City. I used to be in the army, but before that I went to art school." Steve pointed to a student at random. "You're next."

"Teddy Altman," He said. "16 years old and..." He didn't think talking about a trip to the clinic would be particularly wise right now. "I'm an alien."

Teddy managed a weak smile back and turned green to to illustrate the whole alien thing.

Vi blinked at the display and tossed a note Teddy's way.

It read, Nice. You don't grow fangs or anything, do you?

Teddy smiled slightly at the note, jotting down a reply and tossing it back.

I could. I'm a shape shifter.

Vi raised an eyebrow at that, but decided it wasn't any weirder than half the things people had told her so far. Plus, awesome power.

Very cool, she wrote back. Do you usually look like you?

Good to know. Lessened the chances for accidental staking. Vi gave Teddy a sheepish smile and stashed the note where Mr. Rogers wouldn't see it.

Teddy would mention the not!dead dad, but that would set Cassie off crying again and that was the last thing anyone needed.

"I left the country for the first time a few weeks ago to visit Japan?"
