Hey guys, I moved the meeting on campus so that I could post this flyer.


HOMECOMING 2005: Come As You Aren't

King and Queen nominations will be taken tomorrow and Tuesday. Any student, teacher, or staff member is eligible. The list will be posted Wednesday, and at that time people can decline nominations if they want (losers). Campaigning can begin at any time.

As you all know, the theme for the Dance itself is "80s". In honor of the most popular club at FH (detention) and tying into the overall Homecoming theme of "Come As You Aren't", we have a motto for the dance...

Dear Mr. Vernon:
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question?

TICKET SALES: Who can do them and pull together a list next week? Literally, do them. I'll be getting my nails done.

KING AND QUEEN: Anyone want to crown them? I don't want to chip my nails.

OTHER BUSINESS: Suggestions?



[OOC: Someone should be taking over Lilly, and I already arranged for someone to post the dance/field day because the date set by the mods didn't work for me so that's been all set, but I'll take care of King/Queen noms and all the Field Day set-up before I leave so someone isn't stuck with it. I don't know if New!Lilly will want to run Homecoming, but DEATH agreed to be back-up anyway. I'll let you know. Thanks guys, it's been fun. *sniff*]

Are we talking colored streamers tastefully twisted and applied high in looping waves? Or are we talking about TP'ing Principal Connor's tower.

Music Update:
I've got a music request sheet set up in the dorm. I'll repost the sheet tomorrow and have an announcement made in the morning. In fact is there anything we need to have for announcements tomorrow?

I haven't talked with Lane regarding the live band, but if need be we can "hire" the bands from the 80's. [OOC: Photoshop skillz]

Hiring bands would be really cool. Plus, what are any of those burn-outs doing anyway?

Do you think the Bangles are free? Eternal Flame, like, totally makes me cry.

No announcements except to get people hyped. Maybe remind them to sign up for Field Day.

Marty, hi - I got your message. Sorry I missed the last meeting! Hiring an actual 80's band could be cool, otherwise, we could work on some music in Band Practice Class and do a combo of live and dj-ed stuff.

Oh yeah, that would be awesome. Do you want to ask Band Dude Teacher if he wants any of the bands to play, or maybe his band could? Whatever, you can never have enough music.
