When the students came upon the main campfire Tuesday afternoon they would see a nervous looking man sitting on a park bench. The nervousness might be due to this being his first day teaching or it could be due to the fact that Buster had a fear of open spaces. Buster also had a fear of closed spaces so either way he'd probably be like this every morning. Some might notice he’s going to extreme measures to not actually look anybody in the face. All would definitely notice instead of a left hand he had a hook.

"Heeeeeeeeey students." said Buster, standing up from his chair. He looked at the students warily. "My name is Buster Bluth and I’ll be teaching you this workshop this summer. I hope you have as much fun learning as I will teaching!"

He let out a painfully awkward laugh that made it clear he’d much rather be someplace else. "We’ll be covering a lot of subjects during this workshop. I changed my major twenty-one times in college so I know quite a lot about this and that. But it’s still going to be fun! I know all about fun!" He didn’t.

"Really, I hope you find something you're interested in. People with few interests and goals in life either end up performing cheap magical illusions in a run-down bar or they end up living with their mother and adopted Korean brother." said Buster, looking at the students gravely. "Their alcoholic, pill popping, horny mother."

"Um. Okay. My T.A. is over there." said Buster, pointing his hook towards Warren. "He’ll be passing out the syllabuses…syllabi…is that right?"

Buster shrugged. "Anyways, I figure today we can start off with some introductions since I don’t know any of you and you all certainly don’t know me. Just tell me your name, your favorite drink and something interesting about yourself. I’ll go first! I’m Buster, I love juice and my father recently escaped from prison! But then he got arrested in Mexico. Then he faked his death and escaped again!"

"Okay! Who’s next? How about you?" he said, pointing his hook at a student. "T.A. you introduce yourself too."

Buster smiled along and added his comments to each student as they introduced themselves. When the last student went he clapped his hands together. "Ow! Ouch. That stings. Well, I think that’s about enough for today."

"It was fun meeting you all and I’ll be here if any of you have any questions about the syllabus or anything. Till then!" Buster slammed his hook into his desk out of excitement and the prosthetic limb popped off. Buster stared at the desk and then at the class in horror.

"I’M A MONSTER!!!!"

He whimpered and curled up in a ball onto the floor. He'd be there for a while.

"What you mean by Mr. Bluth?" Warren tried for casually nonchalant. It was closer to eager puppy, but then, so was every expression he had. "He's just kind of . . . a goof, you know?"

She blinked. She might have been trying to look past that nonchalance. "A goof? I would have said creepy. Don't you feel creeped out. Just a little? Maybe scared?"

Warren shrugged. "I'm sure he's harmless. He kind of reminds me of the people who worked at my friend's bowling alley. Like, he could totally be Shirley, except he's a guy and he only has one hand and so he probably can't paint. . . ."

Annette tilted her head, "So maybe I should feel sorry for him and call him Shirley?"

". . . I think that would just confuse him." It confused the heck out of Warren, anyway. "Maybe just stick with Mr. Bluth and roll with it."

She twisted her lips and leaned towards him, whispering, "...but that claw, er, hook, is scary. It's like he's on the verge of freaking out, ready to scratch something to death."

"Oh, come on, they totally wouldn't be letting him work with teenagers if he couldn't handle himself."

She raised her brows, "Have you forgotten already where you have come to?"

"Hey, they have to have some standards, right? Or the school board would totally axe him."

"Mayyyybe," she conceded softly, staring at Warren. "So I guess your his TA for a pretty good reason, hmm?" Yeah, she was all about testing him out. Hee hee!

"He needs help passing out papers," Warren pointed out. "And I think it had something to do with both of us liking juice?"

"Okay then. Juice and handing out papers." She grinned. "You are really a nice guy, Warren."

Ooo. 'Nice Guy'. He was never sure how to react to that.

"Um, thanks?"

She nodded, "Yep, don't mention it. I'll let you get back to...work now."

"Hah. Yeah. Right. Thanks."
