Arts & Crafts, Tuesday Afternoon, Main Campfire

As the campers arrived, they would find a tall, athletic blond man in a polo shirt and khakis presiding over picnic tables covered with crafting supplies.

"Good afternoon, everyone," Steve began. "I'm Mr. Rogers--no, not that Mr. Rogers, the other Mr. Rogers--and I'll be in charge of this workshop. We're going to have a lot of fun I hope.

"So, to get started, this week we're going to make gremlins." Steve was oblivious to any horrified twitching this comment might have engendered among his students. He was really new at this. "All the necessary supplies and instruction sheets are already on the table, so...get to it. You can work together if you want to, but please remember the glue and paint are for your projects, not each other. I'll be right over here out of the line of fire if you need any help or have any questions."

"Heh, it's cool here, isn't it?" Mikey blinked as he shimmed around to put himself right into Naminé's view of the dude with the funky hair. "Who in the world would think you're crazy? I totally don't see it."

"Most of the people are very nice, so far." Her smile was slightly more confident now that he was blocking her view. "Oh! Someone else explained that, as well. There are ... alternate realities, here? Different paths leading to different people. And timelines. So I met someone that I know, but in his reality, we haven't met yet. So he thought some strange girl was mistaking him for someone else. I hope I didn't scare him too badly."

"Dude, that sounds confusing," Michelangelo admitted as he glanced down at his meatball-gremlin and idly made it 'tap dance' on his knee. "So anyone here could be from anywhere and any time, then? This is going to take a load of getting used to. And this is coming from sewer-turtle."

Naminé nodded. "There are people here who know one another but come from slightly different worlds. I suppose that must be confusing if you know two of the same person, somehow?" And laughed lightly at the tapdancing. "You know, your gremlin might be more convincing if it were painted. He did say we could work together, didn't he?"

"I might be named for one, but I am totally not a painter." Mikey grinned and nodded. "He did say that we could work together, though! Care to help?"

"I would love to." Naminé smiled. "I'm not very skilled with art, but I enjoy it. It's calming."

She examined his gremlin. "What color do you think, for him? Or is this gremlin a she?" It wasn't as if misshapen newspaper gremlins were anatomically correct. Thankfully.

"Well, I normally default to green. Or orange. Either of those sound good for Salvador, here?" Mikey figured that naming the meatball with mismatched legs after Dali was as good as anything else, really.

"His name is Salvador?" She looked at the gremlin, smiling. "Good to meet you, Señor. Perhaps you would like to be green and orange?"

She set Salvador down carefully and began wetting her paintbrushes. "I think it's all right with him."

Mikey bounced a little as he watched her work with the paintbrushes. "Dude, awesome! He'll be the most radical Spanish gremlinball ever!"
Nami here was the coolest girl Mikey had ever known.
Granted, he hadn't known very many girls in his lifetime.

"Gremlinball?" Naminé laughed. "What sort of an expression should he have, do you think? Is he angry? Plotting our downfall? Or maybe he's a pet and enjoys living in his little jar."

"Is hungry an expression?" Mikey wondered aloud. "I could totally make him a little newspaper pizza slice. Though it might end up looking more like a melting watch..."
He grinned up at her.
"Have you named your Gremlin yet?"

"Hungry counts, I think." There was now a more-or-less hungry expression on Salvador now, with a little bit of drool forming. "And a slice of pizza would be perfect."

"No, I haven't." Naminé held up her gremlin for Michelangelo to see. "I was thinking of something like Belladonna. She is beautiful but deadly."

Re: Talk Amongst Yourselves/Work On Gremlins

Michelangelo started wadding up a piece of newspaper into something vaguely pizza-shaped. "Belladonna is a pretty rad name," he decided with a nod. "She and Salvador can be jar-buddies, or something. Maybe he'll share his paper-pizza, if she asks nicely."

"I wouldn't trust her, if I were him. She might be an assassin sent after him. Has he angered anyone important lately?" She was now coloring Belladonna in in various shades of purple. "But I do think they should be jar-buddies. If Salvador will take the risk."

"Well, he kind of irked me while I was trying to get his arms the same length," Mikey decided. "If I'm important, does that count? Or is it bad enough that I totally gave up trying to make his legs match and maybe Dali-dude doesn't deserve to suffer more?"
He wrinkled his face in consideration, sticking his tongue out of the side of his mouth as he started to coat the pizza slice in tissue. He might have been horrible at making a gremlin, but his pizza, fake or not, was always picturesque.
"Aw, heck with it. They can totally be jar-buds."

"Of course you're important," she said lightly, now doing her best to give Belladonna an appropriately dangerous expression. "And Salvador is just ... unique, that's all. Who's to say that gremlins don't have one leg longer than the other?"

"Belladonna very graciously accepts his invitation. She has impeccable manners, I assure you."
