The Chef looked positively giddy about working near the cabins. He loved the great outdoors. Das Schnitzel was the outdoors-y type too. She was in a corner whittling...something.

"Guud murneeng stoodents! I em su gled tu be-a beck et vurk! In zee ooootduurs! Veet noo stoodents!"

It was definitely weird to have people recognizing him, but much better than having anyone freaking out. "Yep, I'm Donatello," he greeted, smiling slightly.

"Cool. Is that the name of some old painter dude too?" Buffy asked curiously.

"Donatello was a sculptor, not a painter, but they were both artists of the Renaissance era," Donnie said, smile widening as he sat down at the table. "He's not generally as well known as the artists my brothers are named after, but I'm pretty proud of my namesake. What's your name?"

"Buffy. I'm almost sure I'm not named after anybody famous." She tilted her head. "Can I call you Donnie?"

"Sure," he said easily. "They're kind of long names, I guess. And it's nice to meet you - are you new here?"

"Nope, I've been here a year now! So I was here for the mummies and the trolls and stuff!" Buffy said cheerfully.

Donnie's looked at her strangely. "Mummies? Like the kind in bandages and everything?"

"Uh-huh. And a really huge, mean scorpion," she remembered. "It knocked me unconscious."

"A...scorpion?" Donnie wasn't unused to strange creatures and weird things happening, but the fact that she talked about it like it was normal gave him pause. "Here at Fandom?"

"Yeah, but that was last summer. And it wasn't like you and Mikey, it didn't talk and stuff. It was just, you know, big."

"Did it attack? What happened?" Donnie felt a little lost; no one had mentioned anything about giant scorpions or mummies yet.

"The Winchesters killed it, I think. Like I said, I was kinda unconscious by then." Buffy shrugged.
