New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

Sokka looked up at the giant talking turtle-... thing. Turtle-something. It looked half turtle-duck, but it was some kind of reptile? It was, however, an animal of some kind.

"Dude... Are you my little brother?"

Mikey blinked at the crazy kid with the ponytail.
"Uh, no, dude? My big brother is supposed to be a bridge or something. I think."

Mikey totally caught the staring. It was difficult not to with such a pleasant hello, really.
"Man, I'm a turtle." And, because he really couldn't resist... "What are you supposed to be, dude?"

Warren rolled his eyes. "I'm not supposed to be anything. What's with the mask? Turtles don't wear masks."

Michelangelo shrugged and grinned. "Of the teenage mutant variety, sure. It's not that weird. Well, I mean, dude, yeah it is, but it's cool. I don't bite or anything."

Warren pondered this. Here was a kid with a very carefully constructed fantasy life and a very good costume budget.

Which meant rich and possibly insane enough not to notice Warren's personal loser-tude.

"Cool! Can you, like, do flips and kicks and things?"

"Hey there, little frog-type dude!" Mikey grinned and flailed waved back. And wondered if perhaps the little frog-type guy was a mutant, too. "Nice to see more of the coolest color in the world walking around!"
Well, cool by default. Orange was still a pretty cool color, too.

"Only in the first three movies! What's a muppet?" Mikey looked a little confused. "I'm a mutant, is that close enough, little frog-dude Robin?"

I hadn't known the most recent flick was a sequel to the others! "I think it might be similar." Robin said, scratching his head. "Muppets are kinda a genetic offshoot of pretty much anything."

There is something swiftly moving and wearing a toque. In a moment there was something not-so-swiftly moving and wearing a toque and on the ground, having collided with a certain halfshell.

"Duuuuude," Jude said mournfully.

"Dude? Dude!" Michelangelo frowned faintly at the thump and looked down at the dude on the ground, offering a hand."Duuuuuuuude."

"Dude!" Jude said, perking up a bit as he took the offered hand, and then frowned at the fact that it had too few fingers. "Dude?"

Mikey blinked at his fingers, then gave them a bit of a wiggle, then sighed a little to himself.
"...Dude." And then he paused, shrugged, grinned happily, and offered his hand again. "Duuu~uuuude?"

"Dude!" Mikey was rather pleased at the hand-shaking, indeed, and he thumbed himself in the chest as well. "Mikey!" He paused. "Which doesn't rhyme as nicely as Jude, dude, but it's not a bad name."
