New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

"Well, duh." Mikey shrugged. "That's easy stuff, Man. Do you want a demonstration? I could totally do a kick. Or a flip. Or a kicky... flippy... thing."
Because, dude. Showing off to the non-believers was something that turtles were required to do. Even if Splinter probably wouldn't approve.

Warren nodded slowly. "Yeah. Yeah, that'd be pretty cool, man, let's see it."

Michelangelo looked around for a moment, taking the space around him into consideration.
Oh yeah. He'd show this dude. He'd totally show this dude.
He bent at the knees, bobbed up and down for a moment, and then launched himself into a backflip. Upon landing it, he just grinned at the skeptical guy and shrugged. "Ninja, dude."

"Technically, that could be more 'acrobat' than 'ninja'. . . ."

A little voice in the back of his head (one that sounded a lot like Mark) was yelling at him to stop taunting the crazy ninja guy in the turtle costume.

"But still, very cool."

Michelangelo stared at the guy for a moment in disbelief, then shrugged and smiled.
"Man, I totally have skills. Nunchuck skills!" He frowned. "I'd show you, but I had to turn them in at the weapon check place."

"Oh, hey, man, I believe you. No need for a demo. I mean, well, I can do some stuff like that, but . . . I'm not really warmed up, you know. . . ."

Mikey blinked. "Dude, you can? You mean, you're a ninja too?" Okay, so he wasn't expecting any more ninjas about! "Sweet! We'll have to spar or something sometime, man!"

Oh crap.

"Oh, well, I totally would, man, but, well, I kinda promised my teacher I wouldn't hurt anyone. . . ."

"Aw, man, nah, it's okay," he waved a hand dismissively. "Splinter trained me and my bro's really well. I don't think you'd do too much damage. And besides--" he reached back and knocked on his shell. "Turtle. I'm pretty tough, dude."

Warren shrugged, mentally digging furiously to get himself out of the hole. "I'll have to check with him. I'll get back to you, okay?"

Mikey smiled happily and gave his shoulders a shrug. "Fair enough, dude! I'm lookin' forward to it, then!"

"Right! Me too!" Warren's voice might have been a touch strained.

I am so screwed, "See you around, um, dude,"

Michelangelo gave the super-awesome skeptical ninja-guy an oblivious thumbs-up. "The name's Michelangelo, man."

"Warren Cheswick. Nice to meet you."
