Faculty Party, The Danger Shop, Thursday afternoon through evening

Invitations had ~~handwavily~~ gone out to all Fandom High faculty:

When the faculty members stepped into the Danger Shop, they saw that it did indeed look like the deck of a cruise ship on a nice, sunny day. There was a snazzy buffet, shuffleboard, deck chairs, a string quartet, and much, much more.

And an open bar.

Above the door leading out of the shop was a banner:

But enough of that. Now it was time to boogie.

[OOC: Post is open all day, huzzah! NPCs are completely free to mod. And, um, sorry about the egregious punnery inside the OCD. This is pretty bad even for me.

ETA: Also, if there are any terrible typos or other general errors anywhere, I wrote this at 3:00 AM. You're lucky I strung three words together, let alone a series of painful puns.]

Aly started to feel slightly badly about this particular aspect of the prank. She noticed Arashi at the front of the ship and quietly joined him.

He glanced over at Aly and gave her a small looking back over at the water. "Hi," Arashi said quietly. "Enjoying the party?"

"Quite a bit," Aly replied with a smile. "It's a good end to the term. You don't look quite so pleased though."

"I'm... glad it's over," he smiled slowly. "I ... I'm just a little confused a the moment."

"The scene with Fraser and Wade?" she asked. "It's nothing. They've been drinking too much, I think."

Arashi smiled. "That I actually understand," he chuckled and then shook his head, still looking confused and amused.. "It's probably nothing, I'm just... a little unsure of why I'm reacting the way I am."

Her eyes widened slightly as she wondered if her teasing had lit upon something. "Wondering why you care?"

He looked just as surprised as she was. "Yeah, unfortunatly I am."

"Why is it unfortunate?" she asked, watching him. "Not the worst thing in the world by any means."

"Are you kidding!? This is Wade we're taking about! I cannot be attracted to him!" Arashi sighed and rested his head agaisnt the railing of the ship.

"It's just wrong.... and he would NEVER go for it."

She chuckled. "Why can't you? Besides, he might. Maybe. For a little bit until he freaked out."

"Yeah, until he freaked out which would be the next day." Arashi chuckled bitterly and downed the rest of his drink.

"I just dunno Aly. I can't help but think that this is just a result of me living alone too long."

Wade didn't slump a bit upon hearing that any attraction to him was due to just settling. Not at all. Because he didn't care about whether or not Arashi liked him in that way.

Right? Right.

"Sure it is," Aly replied, rolling her eyes. "You've not been living alone for the past nine months. And Fandom's rather known for well-looking men."

He slumped. "Damn it, Aly! Do you always have to be right," the ninja half smirked at her. "Part of me is okay with liking Wade and being attracted to him... the other..." He rubbed his face.

" My last relationship? Ended when I, you know.. 'died' and I don't really want to let that go."

Yes he was being EMOOOOOOO, stupid fruity drinks. They needed to be banned.

Aly smirked back. "Yes, yes I do."

She leaned against the rail, looking over the water for a moment. "Is he still alive? Your last relationship?"

"Yes," He blushed faintly and rubbed his neck. "And doing well from what I've heard, but he's been alone."

"Ah," Aly said, amused at the blush, but not wanting to push that particular point. "Makes it a difficult situation."

"Yeah, just a little," He laughed. "I dunno, if I end up with Wade I think I'm kind of telling myself I won't see him again."

She exhaled sharply and nodded. "No one's talking about 'ending up with anyone' for the rest of their lives, I don't think. But still...I know what you mean."

The tought of being with Wade for the rest of his life was indeed very sobering. "Uhh.. yeah I'm not thinking that long term."

Aly chuckled. "Spoken like a true man."
