Faculty Party, The Danger Shop, Thursday afternoon through evening

Invitations had ~~handwavily~~ gone out to all Fandom High faculty:
Party on a cruise ship in the comfort of our own shop!

When the faculty members stepped into the Danger Shop, they saw that it did indeed look like the deck of a cruise ship on a nice, sunny day. There was a snazzy buffet, shuffleboard, deck chairs, a string quartet, and much, much more.

And an open bar.

Above the door leading out of the shop was a banner:

But enough of that. Now it was time to boogie.

[OOC: Post is open all day, huzzah! NPCs are completely free to mod. And, um, sorry about the egregious punnery inside the OCD. This is pretty bad even for me.

ETA: Also, if there are any terrible typos or other general errors anywhere, I wrote this at 3:00 AM. You're lucky I strung three words together, let alone a series of painful puns.]

"Real lemonade," Fraser said quickly, suppressing a shudder.

"Thank God," Josh said, twirling the shuffleboard cue in his hands. "Want to give it a try?"

"Why not?" Fraser said. "It could be fun."

"I won't even make you change into a pair of plaid pants and force you to hike them up to your armpits," Josh said oh-so-magnanimously. "But I get to go first."

Fraser nodded and stepped back. "I'm eager to see a master at work."

"Watch and learn," Josh said sagely as he lined up his first shot.

And totally tanked it.

"Damn."

"Judging from your reaction," Fraser said, "the master failed."

"Made a slight error in tactics!" Josh insisted stubbornly. "You're up."

"Let's see if I can correct those tactics," Fraser said, moving up and examining his choices. After a long pause, he went for the shot...and watched it die a miserable death. "Huh."

"More beer?" Josh asked.

"Why not?" Fraser asked. "I might get better."

"It'd be hard for either of us to get worse," Josh agreed with a smile.

"This really isn't my game," Fraser said. "At all. I could make us lemonade!"

That just sounded weird.

Josh blinked. "That just sounds weird."

"You read my mind," he said. "I seem to say the weirdest things in this place."

"Last year platapuses...platapii, those damn things from Australia with the beaks and the fur, went bouncing past my classroom on pogo sticks. Lemonade fetishes shouldn't surprise me any more."

"Nothing should surprise me in this school," Fraser answered. "And yet, still, things do."
