Detention, April 28th, The Danger Shop

The Tick opened up the Danger Shop - which looked like a city rooftop - bright and early and put up a signup sheet.

"Huh," The Tick said as students started to filter in. "Well, a rooftop is no place for children. Let's see..." The Tick started to poke at buttons until he recalled the same playground setting that was used just about this time last year. "That's better! Let's have a good, fun detention! SPOOON!"

[OOC: Detention will only take place through lunchtime because Tick won't punish a bunch of little kids unless they send a crazed cyborg dog on him. There will be an afternoon Danger Playground in Dorms later on.

And don't worry about the standard thing about playing elsewhere. Just make sure it's not set for morning. IT'S WEETINY, DAMMIT!]

"He's the bestest kitty ever and ever and it's not nice not to share, Rikku. I would share with youuuuuu." She short of whispered that so Dick didn't hear her. They had had some sharing issues this morning in her room.

"Turn back to what?"

"I'm sharin'! I let you hooooooooooold him! 'N you don't got a kitty to share! He likes me best anyway so there!" She was full-on pouting now. "Turn back to a booooooooooooooooooooy."

She wrinkled her nose. "I wonder where his coooooties go?"

Annette only heard one thing, "Cooties? This kitty has cooties?" And that was it; Annette dropped the kitty to the ground. Thankfully, it wasn't a very far drop.

Rikku gasped. "Don't hurt my kitty!" She scooped up the Judekitty (ignoring the fact that she'd dropped him on accident a couple times herself) and glare at Annette. "Tha's why you can't keep him, 'cause you're bad with kitties! He don't like droppins!"

Annette stared at Rikku. Then she started crying.

Rikku stared back. And then flailed. "Don' cry! I din't mean to! You c'n hold him 'gain! He don't got cooties! I's sorry!"

"You said I bad, Rikku." Annette wiped both hands down her cheeks. "I never have kitty in my whole life!"

"Never ever?!" This called for a hug. "'Sokay, 'Nette! You c'n borrow my kitty but just to borrow 'cause he's mine, 'kay?"

Annette hugged Rikku back, sniffling and nodding and everything. "Never cause mommy and daddy said no pet inside ever." She pulled back and blinked away the rest of her tears and smiled at the kitty. "He is the best kitty ever. I promise I won't hurt him."

"That's mean." Rikku squeezed. "'m sorry you're parents are mean. Pops is mean sometimes toooooo." Mean, in Rikkuspeak, meant that he yelled when she broke things.

"He's totally the bestestest kitty ever. 'N he don't mind when you drop him. I keep droppin' him by axydint 'n he yowls a bit but he's okay. He jus' goes to seep 'n forgetses."

"Sometimes they are mean." Cause Annette didn't get everything she wanted.

"I can hold him tighter and tighter around my neck to make sure I don't drop him ever. And we can run! Kitty likes to run!"

"He don't usually like runnin'," Rikku said helpfully. "'Cause when I carry him he dragses and so if I run he goes ROOOOOOOWR! and makes a grumpy noises."

"Oh. And prolly hisssssses too." Annette made her fingers into claws and made a loud hissing noise.

"You wanna do the quiet game? It's fun." Not really.

Rikku bounced a bit. "I can hiss, too! Listen! Listen!" And held out her own fake-claws and hissed. And then mewed. And then tried to get Jude to mew back to her.

"Can we pretend to be kitties? 'Stead of the game?"

Annette gasped then giggled. "That's the best game ever! I want to be a kitty!"

"Me toooooooo! Let's play that 'stead! Meoooooooooooow!" And Rikku licked her own hand. "Look! I'm bathin m'self like a kitty!"

Annette got down on all fours and purred and rubbed her side up against Rikku's leg, "Meoooowwww, meooooowww." Giggling, she looked up. "Look, I just need a tail!"

Rikku giggled. "That tickles!" And crawled down on all fours, luckily setting Jude down first. "Meowwwwwwwwwww! Meeeeeeeeeeow!"

She head-butted Jude lightly. "D'you think he thinks we're real kitties? 'Cause we're mewin'?"

"He might think we're his mama! Po'kitty!" Annette meowed again and let the kitty's tail run across her face. Eww, but icky kitty-butt.

She backed away a little bit and pretened to claw the ground, stretching.

"Maybe he thinks we're little baby kittenses 'n he's gotta protect us!" Rikku hunched down and tried to mew in a higher pitch. "Meeeeeeeew! Meeeeeeeew! I'm a little baby kitten!"

She rolled over onto her back and clawed at the air, continuing to mew.

"Yeah!" Annette got way down low too and nearly screeched her meoww. "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow." She blinked her eyes and copied Rikku, rolling onto her back and clawing the air.

"What's your kitty doing now?"

Rikku mewed a few more times and then looked over to check on Judekitty. "Oh. He's aseepin."

"Naps are not fun." She said on a yawn.

"No, but kitties take lotsa naps. 'Sa thing." She nodded wisely, having owned a cat for three whole days. "It's 'cause they're superawesome 'n that wears you oooooooooout."

Annette nodded and looked at Rikku in aweness-ness, cause she ruled on the kitty rules. "I didn't know any of that."
