Detention, April 28th, The Danger Shop

The Tick opened up the Danger Shop - which looked like a city rooftop - bright and early and put up a signup sheet.

"Huh," The Tick said as students started to filter in. "Well, a rooftop is no place for children. Let's see..." The Tick started to poke at buttons until he recalled the same playground setting that was used just about this time last year. "That's better! Let's have a good, fun detention! SPOOON!"

[OOC: Detention will only take place through lunchtime because Tick won't punish a bunch of little kids unless they send a crazed cyborg dog on him. There will be an afternoon Danger Playground in Dorms later on.

And don't worry about the standard thing about playing elsewhere. Just make sure it's not set for morning. IT'S WEETINY, DAMMIT!]

"Please sign your name on the sheet! If you need help with spelling, I am the Queen of the Beehive of Letters!" Tick said. "Also, let's hear your battle cries!"

The Tick loved battle cries.

[OOC: Don't worry about collapsy, just in case anyone wants help spelling their name.]

"Part of the Chocolate Cake of Detention is the Sprinkles of Punishment, adding sugar without much taste! Your sprinkles today are silent! Everyone break into groups of three! Whichever team manages to stay completely silent the longest will get candy!"

Be COMPLETELY SILENT here! Non-verbal communication is fine as long as you don't make noise!

"On the playground, one of the most popular games is that classic demonstration of ostracism and fleeing, Tag! I will be giving quick-use anti-tag shields! Tag me and you can't be tagged by the person who's It for a count of five!"

"Let's start. You," Tick said, pointing at the first person who pinged into the thread, "are It! Everyone flee!"

"Finally, we'll be running a playground obstacle course! I'll demonstrate the course, so watch me!"

The Tick approached the playground equipment that was much too small for him, but was fortunately sturdy.

"First you have to run up the spiral slide!" This was a challenge due to his size, but he somehow managed it. "Next, you go down three steps," he said, taking each step, "to the monkey bars!" which he then crossed, not letting his feet touch the ground even though he was more than a foot taller than the bars. "Then up this ladder," he said, running up the five rungs, "and down the slide! Don't forget to shout your battle cry as you go down! Spoooon!"

"The average child should be able to run it in thirty-four Mississippis! When you're done, please sit on the swings and wait for everyone else to finish!"

Run the course and let us know what time you got.

SWINGS!

"Thank you all for such a fun morning, kids! Lunch is pizza and juiceboxes! You've earned it!"

I fully expect for Tag to be insane and go on all day.

Also, this is Tick's last detention! I'll miss the gleeful insanity I was able to do with Tick on these special Saturdays.

Detention will return in a few weeks for summer sessions, though! Everyone who runs a workshop will be able to run them, be they teacher, alumni, or townie!

She had her thumb in her mouth, waiting for other kids to make a group with.

Jaye is totally going to lose this game and she knows it. Oh well.

Naomi waited to form a group.

Dick. No way he was going to try to spell his last name.

He tried to go for a battle cry but he just ended up sneezing.

"Be in my group!" Dick shouted. Oh yeah, no way he was going to win this.

Annette laughed and starting running after the fleeing kids!

"But you be quiet, k?" Annette was wary about Dick being quiet. Dick liked to shout.

Joanna Beth Harvelle.

"CHRISTO" she yelled at the top of her lungs.

Summer Roberts

"I will." he said. "I'll try."

Jo was totally going to be a quiet stealthy hunter, just like Daddy and Uncle John!

"CAN I BE IN YOUR GROUP?"

Totally stealthy.

"I'll give you prize," she encouraged with raised brows.
