Novice's Guide to Villains and Villainy - Friday, Period 3, Danger Shop

Thursday greeted the students inside the Danger Shop. Her arm was still in a sling.

"Good work last week. While Lord Vizzle lives on, you all performed admirably. This is our final class, and I would imagine the last class of the academic year for all of you. Thank you all for a memorable semester. I'm not teaching over Summer and I'm not certain at this stage if I'll be back in the Fall, so in case this is the last time I see any of you, best wishes for the future. I hope this class has been of some use to you. Let's get on to the final.

Your task is simple: walk through the door and you'll be faced with a villain from literary fiction or popular culture. Defeat them using whatever means necessary. You'll be graded on ingenuity and the effectiveness of your plan, so if you don't succeed in defeating them, it's still possible to obtain a good grade provided your approach is sound. Once you step through the door, there are no rules.

Good luck."

Hamlet took a look around the rooftop to get a handle on the situation. It looked as though he has to stop the couple from destroying whatever city they were in.

Were all the people here supposed to be bright yellowish-orange?

"Dare I ask why you wish to incinerate most of the city with a giant laser?" he asked, glad that the hounds couldn't climb ladders.

"But if you destroy key town features," said Hamlet, slowly moving towards the power source, "wouldn't the citizens here be more inclined to simply move away then indenture themselves to you? People have a habit of fleeing away from those who would attack them with giant laser guns."

Hamlet compared the two of them. Smitty was a weeny guy in glasses who looked like he mostly ordered underlings around. He was was a newly 18-year-old student, who was fairly fit from years of fencing practice and surviving several invasions at Fandom. Smitty was helping to destroy a city with a giant laser gun. He needed to pass his class final.

And so without a second thought, Hamlet launched forward to hit the other man.
