Novice's Guide to Villains and Villainy - Friday, Period 3, Danger Shop
Thursday greeted the students inside the Danger Shop. Her arm was still in a sling.
"Good work last week. While Lord Vizzle lives on, you all performed admirably. This is our final class, and I would imagine the last class of the academic year for all of you. Thank you all for a memorable semester. I'm not teaching over Summer and I'm not certain at this stage if I'll be back in the Fall, so in case this is the last time I see any of you, best wishes for the future. I hope this class has been of some use to you. Let's get on to the final.
Your task is simple: walk through the door and you'll be faced with a villain from literary fiction or popular culture. Defeat them using whatever means necessary. You'll be graded on ingenuity and the effectiveness of your plan, so if you don't succeed in defeating them, it's still possible to obtain a good grade provided your approach is sound. Once you step through the door, there are no rules.
Good luck."

Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
The room changed and Seely would have found himself on a dark, wet rooftop in a non-descript city.
"Boys like you shouldn't be out at night," Ratwoman purred. Which was odd, because you wouldn't think that villains based on rodents would purr. "It might be dangerous for their health."

Re: Face Your Villain
"Reeeeally," the woman in the skin-tight suit said, circling him from a distance. "Personally, I'm more of a cheese girl. That keeps me awake protecting my territory from intruuuders." Still with the purring. It was creepy.

Re: Face Your Villain
"You have no idea." She was stalking him now. "So a boy, all alone in enemy territory on a cold night. It begs the question of what such a boy would be doing here, and whether he has much longer to live."
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"Maybe I do," she replied, slinking closer. Those nails looked pretty sharp though. "Then what? I let you close, let you get under my skin and then you kill me?" She was pretty close now. "Is that the idea?"
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"Yes." Really, this was a compliment considering she was comparing him to the superhero in leather.

Re: Face Your Villain
They were thinking of two different people, but the descriptions almost matched. "Twins? How cliche. For all I know, you could be the man who's always off saving the world from people like me. But then, you probably would have tried to kill me by now."

Re: Face Your Villain
Okay, definitely not him. She rolled her eyes. "Considering he works all night, tell me about it. Please tell me you're not here to make a stand to show him you're better than he is by infringing on my territory. You do have a pretty face and I'd hate to see it made into rat food."
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"Goooood," she said slowly. Again with the purring. She was up close and personal again this time, brushing past him as she slinked around. She couldn't seem to keep still. "If you're not him, and you don't like him, you could always join me." She grinned. "We could have fun."
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"Rrrrrrreally? You can't be him. Even he can't pretend to be having fun." She draped an arm around his shoulder. "Fun isn't killing him. Fun is irritation, annoyance, gnawing away at every little thing. That takes patience. Do you have patience?"
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"You've done well so far, boy, but I don't work with boooys. Only men."
Re: Face Your Villain
Re: Face Your Villain
"Consider me asking."

Ratwoman, who had a rather unfortunate name, met the kiss and ran her rather sharp claws down his back.
