Library [04/26]

Bridge heads over and opens the library for what will be his last shift of the school year.

Mmm, coffee. Delicious, delicious coffee.

For once he doesn't have anything to study, so he spends second period browsing random Relic Hunters Adventure Squad sites.

And now he's moved on to Sudoku.

Chris wanders by the library after Folklore & Fact. "Hey, dude, you done with finals?"

"Yep!" Bridge grins and gives Chris a thumbs-up. He likes school but he's not quite as enthusiastic as some people. Like, say, Willow. Finals being over? Good thing.

"I just finished," Chris grins back. "We should do something this weekend to celebrate."

"Caritas?" Bridge suggests. Because that's pretty much the only celebrate-y place he knows of. "We could watch other people get drunk enough to do karaoke."

Chris chuckles. "That sounds like a good plan."

"How do you think your finals went?" Bridge asks.

"I think they went well," Chris says. "You?"

"Pretty good," Bridge says. "The giant flaming cow was a bit of a challenge. But I like challenges."

Chris blinks. "Giant flaming cow?"

"Apocalypse Cow," Bridge says with a shrug. "Which as far as villains go? At least it beats Impurseinator."

"I'll take your word for it," Chris says, clearly amused. "I wonder if my grandpa had any idea what this place was really like when he decided to send me and Wyatt here."

"If my CO didn't when he reassigned me here, he *definitely* did by the time he sent Z," Bridge says. "Do you think he'll let you stay for the summer?"

"I'm hoping," Chris says. "I can't imagine hanging out in San Francisco playing ball or video games when I could be here."

"Exactly," Bridge agrees. "Cruger let me stay last summer. Of course, that could have been because Z had just got here and he wanted us to get used to working together..." he muses.

"Well, given the choice between having me and Wyatt in school or having me and Wyatt fighting..." Chris trails off with a grin. "Plus, I think Grandpa is kind of liking being on his own for a change."

"I've never had a sibling, just my teammates, so I have no idea if you and Wyatt fighting is anything like how me and Sky used to get sometimes, but if it is... yeah, I can see that." Bridge grins back.

During third period, Yomiko finally arrived in the library. "I'm not late! You didn't see me be late!" she told Bridge.

Fourth period? Tetris.

Lunch! Which consists of cold pizza. Mmm. Only people who work here are allowed in at the moment.

Bridge decides that he ought to do actual library work for the second half of the day, so fifth period is spent reshelving books.

During fifth period, Z arrived in the library and staked out a table to study for her exam with Professor Next the next day. Though somehow, she suspected she ought to have been studying fighting styles rather than literature...

And he spends sixth period going over the list of overdue books.

Seventh perid rolls around and Bridge is tidying up in preparation for closing.

If my Internets die again I will cry.
