Coffee and Hunting notes in hand, Isabel opened the library on time.

"Good morning," Yomiko said as she entered the library. "Studying hard, I hope?"

"After I finish my coffee I will," she smiled.

"It is. Although I used to have a hard time convincing a friend of that," Isabel replied, smiling a bit at the memory of Michael.

"Yes," Yomiko sighed sadly. "Some people just don't get it, I'm afraid."

"In his mind he didn't see the point in geometry. He thought we'd be flying off to our planet any day," she explained.

Isabel shrugged, "He was kind of right. When we finally got there, there wasn't much need for geometry."

Oh, dear, Yomiko hadn't realized one of her aides was insane. Well, as long as she didn't harm the books? She made a mental note to leave a note for the next librarian. "You don't say," she said mildly.

She finished her coffee and tossed the cup into the trash. "Hunting notes await. Well after I finish up library stuff. I'll go through and make sure there's no overdue books in the system."
