Revolutions: Week 15, Period 5
The class met in a normal classroom today. Aly waited at the front of the classroom for everyone to come in.
"Afternoon, everyone. Welcome to last class of the semester. This is supposed to be a final exam, but without sending you overthrow the school administration - which I am not endorsing-" she added quickly, glancing at Jamieif he was there. "There's really not much of a scope for a practical examination."
"So I hope that you've all learned things. And I hope that you don't hesitate to put what you learned to use in defense of your people, your country, or anyone who needs it. I have the notes here from our first class. What I'd like you to do is look over your answer to the question 'when are revolutions appropriate, and what would it take for you to rebel against the current power structure.' Take a look and then tell me if your opinion has changed. Why or why not?"
After the discussion was over, she nodded. "I've enjoyed having you all in class. If I can help any of you in the future, let me know. And given that our topic this semester has been war and revolution, I'm going to leave you with a quote I found from one of the founding statesmen of this country. It's something to think about: 'I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, [...] in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music...'"
[OOC: OCD's up. Quote is from John Adams and way shortened. I love you all like pie and give you pie. Or cake if that's your thing. And, umm, because I forgot in the OCD, let me know what grade you think you deserve when you sign in or in the OOC thread]

totally handwavyanswers have changed," Marie said. "I still think that sometimes people need to take matters into their own hands if it's going to benefit the majority in the long run."Re: [Rev 4-24] Questions

"I gotta say, I think I'm a lot more in favor of, um, dramatic shaking-up of the system now than I was at the beginning of the semester. Sometimes it's not pretty and it can be damn messy, and it can blow up in your face, but . . . that doesn't mean it isn't worth the effort."
