Ethics [Monday, April 9, 5th period]

Anakin leaned against his desk as he waited for the students to arrive. "Okay," he said, clasping his hands together. "We spent a few weeks talking about the Seven Deadly Sins. Today we'll talk about the Seven Virtues: chastity, abstinence--which aren't the same thing, believe it or not--liberality, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility."

Anakin...was good at pretty much none of those. "These words could all be used to describe Jedi," Anakin continued, walking around the room, "though, admittedly, not me as a young apprentice. As difficult as it is to avoid the pitfalls of the sins, the ideals of the virtues are equally as hard to attain." He waved a hand. "Pair up and discuss which of these virtues you'd excel at, and which one you would find the most difficult."

He turned a warning eye towards Dean and Sam. "If you two get into another argument today, Force help you," he warned. "Patience has never been my particular virtue."

"It's totally true." Blair leaned forward and spoke in a stage whisper. "I totally fail at diligence when it concerns keeping my room clean. I'm a total slob."

Molly laughed a little. "And here I was thinking that diligence was my best virtue, but now I think I may have the definition wrong."

"You're probably just diligent in other things." Blair smiled. "Are you good at budgeting your time or having a good work ethic?"

Molly laughed harder. "Not at all. Well, I always do my best when I'm fighting bad guys which is how I was thinking I was diligent, but the only thing I budget time for is sleeping which I don't think counts."

"Molly Hayes: diligent sleeper." Blair laughed. "Maybe sleep should be a virtue in it's own right."

"Oh! It totally should!"

"Of course then high school students would rock so much at the sleeping virtue that we'd automatically fail at humility. Then it's a quick downward spiral past kindness and abstinence and then the next thing you know...we're eating babies."

Molly tried to hold back a laugh, but couldn't. "That would be very bad," she said out once she got her laughter under control.

"The babies usually think so." Blair said with a laugh.

"Okay, so sleeping probably shouldn't be a virtue then," Molly said.

"Agreed." Blair nodded. "How about dealing with weird things? That'd be a virtue that everyone where everyone at Fandom excels.

"Very true," Molly said with a nod. "People wouldn't be able to stay if they didn't excel at that."

"Or it could be turned the other direction and say that you have to actually be weird to stay here."

"Being weird would very definitely be a virtue here."

"I say that we both rock the virtue of weirdness." Blair nodded, jotting it down in his notebook. "Do you think Anakin will accept that answer?"

"I would hope so," she said.

"Awesome." Blair bounced. "So what's our weakest?"

"Mine would have to be patience," Molly said. "I hate having to wait."

"I don't like waiting so much either." Blair nodded. "But probably my biggest problem is humility."

Molly grinned at him. "Not very good at being humble?"

"I'm just too good." Blair shook his head sadly. "I can't lie about that."

Molly snickered. "I might have a problem with that one too."

"It's hard to be so talented and pretty." Blair sighed. "But somebody's got to do it."

Molly giggled. "Don't forget smart."

"Exactly. Talented, pretty and smart." Blair nodded. "We should probably include popular."
