Ethics [Monday, April 9, 5th period]

Anakin leaned against his desk as he waited for the students to arrive. "Okay," he said, clasping his hands together. "We spent a few weeks talking about the Seven Deadly Sins. Today we'll talk about the Seven Virtues: chastity, abstinence--which aren't the same thing, believe it or not--liberality, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility."

Anakin...was good at pretty much none of those. "These words could all be used to describe Jedi," Anakin continued, walking around the room, "though, admittedly, not me as a young apprentice. As difficult as it is to avoid the pitfalls of the sins, the ideals of the virtues are equally as hard to attain." He waved a hand. "Pair up and discuss which of these virtues you'd excel at, and which one you would find the most difficult."

He turned a warning eye towards Dean and Sam. "If you two get into another argument today, Force help you," he warned. "Patience has never been my particular virtue."

"Er, hey?" Jake said, walking up to Anakin. "I think I've missed a couple of classes. I was sort of unavoidable detained."

Anakin gave him a relieved smile. "It's good to see you, Jake."

Jake gave him a slightly weirded out look. He wasn't used to Anakin smiling. "Um, yeees. So I was wondering if there was some make-up work I should do?"

"We talked about relationship ethics last week, and more on the deadly sins before that," Anakin said. "Do you have anything brilliant to add to either conversation?"
