Ethics [Monday, April 9, 5th period]

Anakin leaned against his desk as he waited for the students to arrive. "Okay," he said, clasping his hands together. "We spent a few weeks talking about the Seven Deadly Sins. Today we'll talk about the Seven Virtues: chastity, abstinence--which aren't the same thing, believe it or not--liberality, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility."

Anakin...was good at pretty much none of those. "These words could all be used to describe Jedi," Anakin continued, walking around the room, "though, admittedly, not me as a young apprentice. As difficult as it is to avoid the pitfalls of the sins, the ideals of the virtues are equally as hard to attain." He waved a hand. "Pair up and discuss which of these virtues you'd excel at, and which one you would find the most difficult."

He turned a warning eye towards Dean and Sam. "If you two get into another argument today, Force help you," he warned. "Patience has never been my particular virtue."

At some point during the lecture, a tumbleweed rolled into the classroom. It didn't seem to mean any harm, but it was curious about what was going on as tumbleweeds in Fandom often are. After a few minutes of listening, it got restless and rolled back out of the classroom. Patience, it seemed, was not the tumbleweed's virtue either.

Anakin raised an eyebrow as the weed passed by.

Strange town.

Dean doodled small bunnies in the margins of his notes as he listened to the lecture, but his head shot up and he scowled in protest at Anakin's last warning and had to swallow the "Hey!" that he almost called out.

Sam took diligent notes, but that didn't stop him from scowling at Anakin's warning. It wasn't like he meant to fight with Dean.

Turtle found it difficult to draw anything making fun the virtues, really, so she just drew that tumbleweed she just saw pass by. Tumbleweeds? Really easy to doodle.

Steerpike was somewhat more preoccupied today than usual. His notebook did manage to include a list of the sins (with patience circled several times in an impatient manner), but it also included such esoteric phrases as "all black clothing?" and "must go shopping today".
