When the students filed into the Danger Shop this morning, they'd notice Fraser standing at attention near the front of the room. The names of those with detention were neatly displayed in plain view.

"Good morning everyone," Fraser said, smiling pleasantly. "I trust you all had a fine Friday, slept well and are prepared for your detention this morning. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I'm Constable Benton Fraser, head of school security here. If this is our first meeting, I wish it could be under better circumstances."

He paused to take his hat off and drop it on a desk. "For today's detention, we're going to have a little adventure. This adventure will be non violent and, should you try anything violent, you will have to deal with me. I'll be guiding your progress and controlling the adventure. Your goal is to retrieve the treasure from the castle and unleash it's many wonders. Good luck."

Fraser stepped back and the Danger Shop suddenly became a large, open meadow.

[Basically, this is Choose Your Own Adventure. I'll start out with a setting and some minor directions and the students can go from there. Familiar characters might pop up along the way. But, please, no violence. I'll be around all day most likely.]

"I sent Frederico out for milk hours ago!" She looked put out. "You can't come inside unless you have my milk!"

"But it's raining!" Zero called back.

"Milk, minion!"

Zero swore under her breath. "But where can I get milk?"

"From a cow, dearie!"

Zero facepalmed. "Yes. Of course. A cow." She raised her voice and called to the woman in the house, "But where can I find such a cow?"

The woman was kind of dumb. "At the cow store!"

Yes, Zero was getting that impression. "And where is the cow store?"

"Near the castle, if I remember right!"

"Of course," Zero said. "Castle. Right then. Castlewards ho!" And Zero slogged off toward the castle, muttering swear words under her breath all the way.

And that's when the rain turned to snow. It wasn't cold but it was snowing heavily.

Zero looked down at her t-shirt and miniskirt in dismay, then realized it wasn't cold. "What the squall?"

The snow came harder. Soon, white out conditions were present.

Zero stopped trudging and dug out her compass. "Okay, let's see, which way was the castle from the cottage...?"

A man om a noble polka dotted steed came riding up to her. "Ahoy! Doth thou needeth helpeth?"

Zero stared up at bizzaro world Professor Lyman for a long, speechless moment before she managed, "Er, yes, I'm trying to find the cow store? At the castle?"

"Hoppeth oneth myeth ladyeth," he said, offering a hand. "I shalleth taketh youeth thereth."

And the snow stopped, giving way to hail.

Zero took his hand and climbed onto the horse. "Can we hurry?" she suggested.

"Whateth iseth youreth rusheth?" he asked but started the horse at a gallop anyway.

"This flinking weather!" Zero told him. "It squalls!"

A bird appeared and attempted to peck at Zero's head.

"Ow! Ow!" Zero protested as she attempted to wave the bird away and not fall off the horse at the same time. "I'm not your mummy, if that's it! Ow!"

The bird flew away after figuring out it couldn't nest in Zero's hair. And the weather changed from hail to fierce winds and sandstorms even though there was no sand.

Zero tried to use the knight's body for protection. "What the FRAK?" And then she stopped talking and started spitting sand.

"Hey!" The knight's voice took on a very Brooklyn-esque accent. "Stop spittin' on me!"
