Detention, Saturday Morning, April 7
When the students filed into the Danger Shop this morning, they'd notice Fraser standing at attention near the front of the room. The names of those with detention were neatly displayed in plain view.
Alec
Rikku
Seely Booth
Hamlet Dane
Jim Ellison
Zero Hopeless-Savage
Ranma Sao
"Good morning everyone," Fraser said, smiling pleasantly. "I trust you all had a fine Friday, slept well and are prepared for your detention this morning. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I'm Constable Benton Fraser, head of school security here. If this is our first meeting, I wish it could be under better circumstances."
He paused to take his hat off and drop it on a desk. "For today's detention, we're going to have a little adventure. This adventure will be non violent and, should you try anything violent, you will have to deal with me. I'll be guiding your progress and controlling the adventure. Your goal is to retrieve the treasure from the castle and unleash it's many wonders. Good luck."
Fraser stepped back and the Danger Shop suddenly became a large, open meadow.
[Basically, this is Choose Your Own Adventure. I'll start out with a setting and some minor directions and the students can go from there. Familiar characters might pop up along the way. But, please, no violence. I'll be around all day most likely.]

Re: Castle
She stood up, checked the room quickly for any potential weapons or oddities, shrugged, and decided to follow the route on the map.
Re: Castle
The king sat high upon his throne, kicking his feet and laughing as a jester juggled in front of him.
There was a door behind him with a neon sign that said "PRINCESS HERE" above it. Yes, really.
There were many people in the room so it would be easy to blend in. The door, however, was shielded by an alarm that would go off and alert the king should anyone get too close.
Re: Castle
She slipped back into the crowd and looked for a place where people were milling and talking. She laughed a bit. "That king. Such a joker. Can you believe the sign?!"
[OOC: Am assuming alarm is visible, since you mentioned it ... if that's wrong let me know and I'll reping.]
Re: Castle
The king threw a pineapple at the jester and the jester shuffled off.
Someone from the crowd said, "He thinks making it so visible will make people think it's lethal. Only the king knows the way past it."
Re: Castle
Rikku hoped that making wild, off-base assumptions would get a better response than asking nosy questions.
Re: Castle
The question was said loud and the crowd was turning it's attention towards Rikku now. So far, the king was still distracted.
Re: Castle
She did her best to look confused. "Why, who else would the king need to guard her against? I don't understand."
Re: Castle
The king was looking towards the commotion now.
"Who dares take the attention off of me?"
Re: Castle
"My liege," she said with a sweeping bow. "I noticed the part of your jester was absent and felt I should audition. My apologies for taking the attention. But of course your brilliance only shines next to my inanity."
Re: Castle
"You wish to entertain me?" the king asked. "Do so or I will banish you!"
Re: Castle
She scooped up a few items the jester had dropped and launched into her rendition of Cuban Pete. With rumbaing and a failed attempt at juggling, which she hoped failed in an entertaining way. Especially when she bonked one off her head and flailed wildly.
She tried to inch closer to the door without being obvious about it. Hmmm.
Re: Castle
The king clapped his hands together in glee. "Bonk yourself on the head again!"
The king was completely oblivious to the inching closer to the door.
Re: Castle
She threw up seven or eight of the items all at once. If she aimed it right, one was going to thump onto her head, most were going to fly randomly about the room ... and one was headed for the PRINCESS HERE door.
If.
Re: Castle
The king laughed in delight and, because this game was unfair, kicked off the alarm with his foot without noticing.
The princess's door was now unguarded.
Re: Castle
After a few seconds she stood up and took a long bow. "Thank you, your majesty, for your laughter. I think I need a few moments recovery while I find my wits again. If I ever shall."
Re: Castle
The king shoo'ed her away and brought the crowd closer, telling them of the jester that had just regaled him.
No one was paying attention to Rikku now.
Re: Castle
She lingered in front of the doorway for a long moment, trying to look around without looking like she was looking around, and then took a quick step through.
Re: Castle
Thank you Rikku! But our princess is in another castle!
And that's when the Danger Shop returned to normal around Rikku.
Re: Castle
"Heyyyy! Where's the loot?!"
Re: Castle
Re: Castle
And she bounced a bit for good measure.
