School Assembly, Friday afternoon, The Auditorium

Before the assembly, The Tick used the same mysterious process that chooses students for the detention lottery for another purpose.

He had written a play. Destiny told him that all the world was a stage and he was but a player, meaning that he was playing the part of someone that got people to play parts that he created. It was very meta.

Anyway, the curtains opened to start the assembly. It was time for The Tick's first play: A Time for Bagpipes.

[OOC: Cast, please handwave getting roped into this as a result of the announcements this morning. It may be a good idea to look at the plottery post to see what I told different people just so you can be better prepared.

Again, I'm very sorry about the last minuteness and the general WTFery of this. Feel free to go nuts, though. This is a play by The Tick that you had at best a couple hours to look over. Things need not make sense have fun. And thank you for volunteering and attempting to make this work!

Oh, and people in the later acts, don't feel obliged to wait for people in earlier acts. Jump in whenever.]

It was at this point that Seely wandered onto the stage, still reading his script.

"Woe, for I have lost my bagpipes and will be unable to woo the lady trolls," he recited.

"Did you try the garage sale up the street?" Peter suggested. "The Scottish guy might have more of them."

"Where did you lose them?" Naomi asked.

"They were stolen from me as I went hunting pretty boys for the lady trolls," Seely read off his script. "There were only scraps of tartan and shortbread crumbs where my bagpipes had been, woe."

"Do you think your bagpipes were stolen by cookie making elves?" Peter asked. He hefted the bagpipes he was holding higher onto his shoulder. They squwaked in protest.

Seely winced as the bagpipes squawked. "I do not know, only that I shall never hear the dulcet tones of my..." he broke off and pointed at Peter. "HEY!"

Peter looked innocent. "What?"

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"THOSE ARE MY PIPES!"

Naomi had been watching this exchange silently, "what's going on Diego?"

"I have no idea!" Peter said. "This troll's nuts! I bought these pipes fair and square! Good deal too, only about a buck fifty."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"I would know does pipes anywhere, you dirty thief!" Seely declared. "For they are mine and you stole them."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"No way!" Peter said. "I got a receipt and everything! Show him, Francesca."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] ktarian-wildman.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Receipt?" Naomi repeated as she found the piece of paper, "um, yeah here's the receipt," she held it up.

"Clearly a forgery," Seely replied. "Now return my pipes or I shall kidnap you and take you to the lady trolls. They like pretty men."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dude!" Peter protested. "My sister is not a pretty man!"

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey buddy, I wasn't talking about your sister." For some bizarre reason Seely now sounded like a wiseguy from an old mafia movie. "Now hand over the pipes unless you want some lady troll tail."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"No way!" Peter told him. "Francesca, save yourself! I've got this!"

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Stealling my bagpipes make you deaf you mook?" Seely asked. "I just said I wasn't interested in little sis here."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"I just don't want her getting hurt when I kick your ass," Peter said, taunting Seely.

Re: Act I [Cast]

Naomi had cautiously moved out of the way during this.

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"Please, like a pretty boy like you could take me on?" Seely sneered. "With hair like that?"

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"I can take you because of hair like that," Peter said, most likely creating a new entrance line for himself when he later became a superhero.

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Please," Seely said, rolling his eyes. "It only needs gel to be even more ridiculous."

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] repeterpetrelli.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why would you put gel on bangs like this?" Peter asked.

Re: Act I [Cast]

[identity profile] socksofcool.livejournal.com 2007-04-06 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"It seems like the kind of thing that pretty boy men would do."
