Prepping for the apocalypse -- In the Library

From reports outside the school, there are minor zombie attacks still going on.

Methos eyes the Doctor as he goes through the crowd of students, reassuring and supporting them with his very presense. Methos waves vaguely in the direction of his forehead in an off-hand salute to the other professor.

Right now, Methos has a different responsibility. What was he thinking, getting all the blade-users under his command? "Right, let's get the only people with an off-hand chance of killing you, accidentally or on purpose, and put them REALLY REALLY close to you." He shook his head. "All right!" he says loudly. "Anyone who uses, by preferance and by skill, a bladed weapon, get over here."

They still needed leaders for groups marshelling heavy-power weaponry (a couple of people were saying the names, "Jack" and "Charlie") and another for more standard projectile weapons, but Methos assumed that the medical team would center around Janet.

{OOC: That's an open invitation for anyone who wants to head up the other group to step up and be a leader...]

Illyana looks at Methos and then makes her way over to him. She'd rather stay where she can fight with Callisto and Beka, but her best weapons were her swords.

Sadly, my Father banned me from bringing my sword or my dueling blades with me... I have this. *raises very big and heavy chair leg with splintery end*

I am going to get supplies at the clinic and see if I can find a blade somewhere.

*waits for response (assumes one will be made :) and then runs out of Library*

"Non-humans, immortals, magic users," Angelus spoke up, his demeanor firm and brooking no questions. The look of concern he gave to everyone assembled was strangely geniune. "With me. I don't want anyone on the front line who can't take a hit."

Illyana looks over when she hears Angelus.

Magic user...

She does that.

She looks at Methos. "Sorry sir, but I'm with him."

She steps to Angelus' side and looks around the library. She doesn't know Methos, but she knows Angelus.

::looks over at mention of Non-humans, but then hears Rogue volunteer to lead the gun people. not wanting to annoy Angelus but also not wanting to, you know, die, she can't help asking::

Er, is it ok if the non-human but non-immortal people go with the gun people instead?

Faith came running into the Library, carrying a bulging bag. "Angelus, hey- been looking all over for you- got the weapons you wanted. There was a giant bear thing in the ship, and I didn't understand a word he said, so I don't think they're coming here."
She paused to catch her breath. "Woah, dizzy. I think I need to sit down for a minute. Everything's fuzzy."

Immortal, check.

Magic user, check.

I am not a spell thrower, and I am somewhat human, but I am mostly immortal for sure. My magic can't help us, unless you need an inter-library loan from some other Shadow, but I have a kick ass blade I borrowed off of DEATH in the clinic and there is nothing the zombies can do that will kill me. I don't have time to explain, just take my word for it, I am front line material and know how to dismember undead.

Rogue has been sitting against the wall, resting, and trying to get her Marie-self under control. Fighting the police and other mutants was something she was okay with, something that was normal. Zombies? That's another thing altogether. When she was with the X-men, she knew where her friends and loved ones were; here everyone was so spread out and she had no clue. That Sonia girl said Shane was okay, but what about Phoebe and Sheldon?

When she hears Methos' request for team leaders, she stands up. "I have some military training, and could lead the gun people if no one else will do so." Something in the tone of her voice is very different than the girl who has been sitting alone all day.

Methos looks up and down the slender dark-haired girl with a white streak. She didn't look strong enough to handle the kick-back of the gun, but something in her eyes convinced him. "Right. Get everyone around."

Return from the Clinic

I have emergency blankets, bandages, disinfectant, and painkillers sent from the clinic and also I GOT A BLADE! It is only borrowed, but now those zombies are going to be sorry they messed with my friends... er... schoolmates. *holds up an ornate sword with an edge so fine it seems to have a faint glow about it, and looks like she knows exactly what to do with it.*

*puts sword back in makeshift scabbard and awaits instructions.*

The guy on duty at the clinic also gave me means to contact him if we have any seriously injured, he has the ability to retreive them for care if we need to do that.

The noise of people moving around again wakes Roy up, and he stands, looking around. Groups seem to be developing, so he hunts down the librarian (whom he now thinks of as The Scariest Coolest Librarian He's Ever Seen), and tries to find out what's going on.

"What's going on? I think I fell asleep." He tries in vain to brush his hair out of his eyes. "Are we separating?" he asks, noticing the groups.


((OOC: I'm back! Sort of. I'm doing this from work, because I'm evil and bored.

What group should Roy go in? Technically he's closer to a magic user, but he's very, very mortal and has no protection abilities, so he probably shouldn't go with them.

I think having a last line of defense is an excellent idea. Fall back and guard the triage.

Thomasina woke up ages ago and has been curled up in the stacks reading books about various magical traditions all day. The books now sport an impressive collection of book markers made of strips of paper torn from her exercise book. She doesn't look like she plans on stopping reading any time soon.
