Prepping for the apocalypse -- In the Library

From reports outside the school, there are minor zombie attacks still going on.

Methos eyes the Doctor as he goes through the crowd of students, reassuring and supporting them with his very presense. Methos waves vaguely in the direction of his forehead in an off-hand salute to the other professor.

Right now, Methos has a different responsibility. What was he thinking, getting all the blade-users under his command? "Right, let's get the only people with an off-hand chance of killing you, accidentally or on purpose, and put them REALLY REALLY close to you." He shook his head. "All right!" he says loudly. "Anyone who uses, by preferance and by skill, a bladed weapon, get over here."

They still needed leaders for groups marshelling heavy-power weaponry (a couple of people were saying the names, "Jack" and "Charlie") and another for more standard projectile weapons, but Methos assumed that the medical team would center around Janet.

{OOC: That's an open invitation for anyone who wants to head up the other group to step up and be a leader...]

Professor, we've put Callisto in charge of drilling some of the students in defensive formations.

Illyana looks at Methos and then makes her way over to him. She'd rather stay where she can fight with Callisto and Beka, but her best weapons were her swords.

Sadly, my Father banned me from bringing my sword or my dueling blades with me... I have this. *raises very big and heavy chair leg with splintery end*

I am going to get supplies at the clinic and see if I can find a blade somewhere.

*waits for response (assumes one will be made :) and then runs out of Library*

"Non-humans, immortals, magic users," Angelus spoke up, his demeanor firm and brooking no questions. The look of concern he gave to everyone assembled was strangely geniune. "With me. I don't want anyone on the front line who can't take a hit."

Illyana looks over when she hears Angelus.

Magic user...

She does that.

She looks at Methos. "Sorry sir, but I'm with him."

She steps to Angelus' side and looks around the library. She doesn't know Methos, but she knows Angelus.

"Fine," Angelus said. "You look like you know how to use that thing. Stay in charge of that and protect them."

"We need to protect this school," Angelus told Illyana. "Can I trust you to do that? No tricks, or we're having it out here and now. I don't have time for evil schemes."

"Listen. I know I can be a handful. Where I'm from, you can't trust anyone to get your back. Ever. I know I can trust me. And I make damned sure others can.

"I had CJ make a roster of students in the library. I put a call out to a couple of mage healers. After what Jack and Daniel told me about Camulus, and since Camulus made me 'Student Security' in his classroom, I've been keeping an eye on him." She shrugs.

"I can take orders, and will. So tell me what you need done. Give me something to do. I'm feeling edgy."

Illyana raises an eyebrow at Angelus' words. He looks the same, bu he suddenly doesn't sound the same. Has he been drinking the funny kool-aid?

"If only for the handful of people I actually give a damn about here you can trust me. Evil schemes won't do much good against zombified fucks, anyway."

Methos puts a hand on her shoulder. "Breathe. And conserve your energy." *considers* "Check to see if anyone needs to make an ammo run to Principal Connor's office."

Yes, Angelus has definitely been drinking the funny kool-aid.

I'm a demon sorceress who can cast about anything. If none of his keeps me from getting gravely wounded, my demons in Limbo can retrieve my body and heal me."

A slow half-smile spread on Angelus's face. "How are you with fire?"

Illyana beams. "I can throw fireballs in a very precise, deadly manner."

Rogue has been sitting against the wall, resting, and trying to get her Marie-self under control. Fighting the police and other mutants was something she was okay with, something that was normal. Zombies? That's another thing altogether. When she was with the X-men, she knew where her friends and loved ones were; here everyone was so spread out and she had no clue. That Sonia girl said Shane was okay, but what about Phoebe and Sheldon?

When she hears Methos' request for team leaders, she stands up. "I have some military training, and could lead the gun people if no one else will do so." Something in the tone of her voice is very different than the girl who has been sitting alone all day.

"Excellent," Angelus said. "When they come start throwing and keep at it. Aim for the heads. If they break through the lines I'll need you to start taking anyone who needs it to safety. So let's make sure they don't break through the lines."

Illyana is still convinced that Angelus, leader of the JA, has either been drinking the funny kool-aid or smoking the sparkly crack.

"They'll have a hell of a time getting past me."
