Conflict Management and Resolution: Mon Period 4 - Class # 12 - Apr 2 - Danger Room
As the students entered the Danger Room they would find it set up in much the same way as it had been for their midterm, with individual rooms for each student to go in and participate in their test.
“Good morning folks. You have the whole period to work on your practical test and…that’s pretty much the long and the short of it. Good luck to all of you.”
Stepping back he waved the students towards their individually labeled rooms.
Once in the room, students would be confronted with two tulips, individually potted in small pots. One tulip is red and the other is white. In the center of a table is a much larger pot filled with rich looking soil. It is obvious that the two tulips are in heated discussions about who has the right to the abandoned pot and they are threatening to throw small clumps of fertilizer at each other.
As explained last week, it’s up to the students to negotiate with each side, determine who genuinely has the right to the beautiful new pot and how to make certain both sides come to a non-violent resolution of their conflict.
[ooc: Yeah…so, I loose at RL timing. It’s month end and quarter end today and I spent my weekend getting my condo listed for sale and then cleaning it up one side and down the other –still have one room to finish up- so RL totally pwned RP intentions this weekend. Thus, feel free to handwavey your test or if you want to have some fun with the tulips write me little drabbles and I will love you for it. Sorry guys and OCDs arecoming up. Have at!]

Plants. WEIRD.
Re: Take the Test
He brushed a clump of fertilizer out of his hair for his impudence.
"Got it," he murmured.
Twenty minutes later, he'd gotten them to agree that the larger flower would receive the larger pot, and the smaller flower would receive more of the quality soil and a promise from the larger flower of first dibs on the next upgradeable housing location.

handwaveytest, which went off on several rambly tangents about how if the plants had been scientifically merged with cars or bulldozers or carpet shampooers then grown to a height of about 20 stories tall, it would have been way easier to resolve the conflicts. What? He was totally talking from personal experience.
Re: Take the Test
At which point it was decided that the bigger pot could go to the resulting kids.

Using her logic and calm, patient manner, Tori managed to finally get the tulips to split the soil between them. And show them that their pots were just as good, if not better than the larger pot.
Re: Take the Test
Both tulips gasped, their leafy holds of fertalizer dropping to the table as they shook in stunned horror.
"That's right. You could even be cut and sugarized or whatever the heck you call it and be made to decorate pretty edible things. You realize if that were to happen then this bigger, richly potted pot would go to your cousins. And their kids of another sisters cousin husband, not to mention the countless group therapy sessions that are waiting in line for this pot that you two cannot agree to share for any number of selfish dirty reasons."
Another collective gasp from the two tulips, more shaking, maybe a little wobbling.
"So, you either agree to share the pot and make it pretty with two tulips, equalizing the both of you, or I am going to have to take action into my own hands. And I haven't decided - either you will be cake ticker tape, or I will dry you up and make a pretty fragrant bowl of potpourri and set you on Dr. Wilson's desk."
The tulips looked at each other, then at her, then at each other again, then together they nodded and said at once, "We will share and be pretty for everyone."
Thus, her test was done.

Clearly, she's been watching too much American news. The tulips didn't seem to believe her, and kept fighting until Layla waved her hand over them and really did make them shrink. Their high-pitched cries for mercy were quickly granted, and they suddenly became much more willing to listen to each other. After that, getting the tulips to agree to share the pot was surprisingly easy, especially when Layla took extra care in helping them to their new home.Re: Take the Test
