Forensic Science - March 28th 5th period

The classroom was dark when the students entered and Abby was standing by the rack of laptops she had handed out last week.

"We're going to be using these today to solve our crime." Abby said, loading a program on one and explaining how to do handwriting analysis. "Also, you're going to be looking for matching injuries in crime databases. When you're not sure what happened at a scene or you want to check and see if this fits the profile of different crimes, you can enter the information and look for a match."

"Today's crime scene is very cool. It's our first hanging!" Pulling the door open to the crime scene, Abby grinned excitedly and ushered the students into the room where Bel lay on the ground. "Police found our dead guy this morning swinging from the rafters. They cut him down but they aren't sure if he's a suicide or the victim of a homicide. It's up to you guys to decide what happened."

"I died of suffocation," Bel said sullenly. "But I also have scratches on my neck, and my fingers are bloody and broken. There's also a bump on my head."

"Someone hold a pillow over your face? Any fibers down your throat?" Parker smirked at him, then added, less smirkily, "Any note? In fake handwriting, I'm assuming?"

Bel pointed to the nearby piece of paper that said "Goodbye cruel world" in kinda girly handwriting. "Nothing down my throat," he said. "Isn't the rope around my neck a big clue?"

"It could have been something else. But okay, we'll accept the rope. For now." She grinned happily at him. "If the handwriting weren't so girly, I'd be a suspect. Good thing, hunh?"

"You could've disguised your handwriting," Bel pointed out. "But you wouldn't be able to kill me."

The events of two weeks ago came back to Parker, and she sobered, studying him coolly. "Don't be sure about that, Bel. You never know." She held up her camera. "Pose for the camera. Tongue-lolling would be fine."

Bel posed with a "bitch plz" look instead. "Haven't you heard? I'm indestructible now," he said, smirking a little.

"Could you get out of one of Z's little indestructible prison cards?" Parker smirked back at him. "Or Hell again?" She hit the button to take the photo. "Indestructibility might be overrated, under some circumstances."

"Got no plans to go back to the Underworld," Bel said shortly. "I'm staying away from that place."

"Good to know!" Parker gave him a thumb's up. "Nice deadliness. Anything else I should know, before I go off and find a demon-hanger?"

"I think you're all set," Bel said. "Go avenge me."

Parker smirked. "What the hell. It is one of my best things. Rest easy for the next avenger, I'm off to serve Justice."
