Dead zombies litter the ground (at the library -- yes, still)

The first wave seems to have subsided. Methos lowers his sword so the tip is touching the ground. Bloody streaks down the outside of his sweater.

Small puddles of flame flare here and there mark charred zombie bodies.

Yeah, the distance between the dorms and the library is so greatly increased when the undead decide to rise...

Ah... slipped down some stairs, grabbed the banister and yanked my shoulder. Hurts a lot more now than it did.

Something about this strikes Beka as funny. Maybe she's just tired. The thought of Liz hurting in any way shouldn't be funny.

She manages: "At least it's not a zombie bite. I hear those may be incurable. Is it dislocated?" And then abruptly she realizes it really isn't funny at all. "Can Janet give you something for the pain?"

Liz smiles weakly. "That's what I'm thankful for. I'll see Janet once she's seen the others."
