Anyone interested in working on a yearbook? I mean, we'd need a teacher sponsor, if one is willing, but I think it'd be...umm...really fun and, uh, useful. And I'd be completely willing to be the editor-in-chief, if I can get a staff of some sort.

Oh, that's fascinating. I've...uh...never been to Palestine, but I want to someday. I've heard it's beautiful.

*holds her hand for another long moment, then looks embarrassed and drops it* Oui. Et vous? And he is. Or... He was, when I left for Jerusalem. He holds Ibelin in fief for the King in Jerusalem.

(OOC: And I? Totally can't speak French. But Balian does, fluently (albeit archaicly, given the almost milennia time gap))

I'm glad to hear that - are you two close?

(OOC: That means "Yes, I speak a little bit." I took four years of high school French, so I was prepared either way. Rory, on the other hand, has a very, very basic knowledge of the language.)

*grins and pushes his hair back off his forehead with the palm of his hand* As close as father and son can be, I guess. I am his only son and heir, so he spends more time with me than most, but...

*shrugs* He was a trusted fellow of the old King, and with the upheaval after his death, he has more pressing matters than me. Which is why I was going to the monastery, in Jerusalem. To study. *laughs, low and rich*

I guess I got more than I bargained for, in the learning department.
