Sam was surprisingly awake for an un-caffeinated person as he went to open the library in the morning.

Of course, that didn't mean he wasn't still going to have some coffee. Mmmmm sweet coffee.

Billy came in on a secret mission. "Hey Sam."

"Hey," Sam replied, smiling. "What's up?"

"Looking for the periodicals." Billy said. "Particularly the Wall Street Journal."

"The most recent periodicals are all on the first shelf over there," Sam said, pointing to his left. "Or do you need older copies?"

"Both actually." Billy said.

"Okay, I know we still have older Wall Street Journals around," Sam replied. "How far back to you want me to go?"

"Uh, 1998 or 99?"

"Hmm. I'm probably going to have to get something you can look at on the computer if you want to go that far back," Sam replied. "Are you looking for something in particular?"

"Not really." Billy said. "I'm just doing a bit of independent study."

For the time being, Sam was resisting the siren call of the Sims, to work on some homework.

Still resisting, Sam went through and checked some of the message boards he frequented. He ended up bookmarking one off-topic thread on government conspiracies that looked like it was getting entertainingly wanky, for later reading.

Okay, Sam could only resist for so long, especially when he was already at the computer. And so, Sim!Alec was back in the pool with no ladders. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

The library was closed for lunch, to everyone except aides and the librarian.

Sam had lunch plans, so he probably wasn't around for very long.

After coming back from seeing Zoe, Sam headed back into the stacks to make sure that all of the flood research books had been put back in their proper spots. There was a bell on the desk to ring if he was needed.

Sam was back to quietly studying again, like the great big geek that he was.

After finishing up his homework, Sam went around and made sure the library was cleaned up before he closed up.
